I just love how he isn't content with playing the simple pass. He pushes himself to always attempt the line breaking pass,the high risk high reward option. I'd rather those who try and fail than those who fail because they didn't try

It's about knowing when you can do it. Like you said, there is a high risk so you can't always do that. But usually if you carry the ball as far you are not pressed again after you escaped first wave of pressing players, just before they catch you again you probably see the pockets to your teams runners. Partey is good at this so he is allowed start the transition in counter attack.

This was Thomas Partey's first season in a new league, in the worst Arsenal side that I have ever seen and he was still one of the better players despite being riddled with injuries. Can't wait to watch him dominate the midfield next season 🔴⚪

Don't give him excuse. Him and auba were the reasons why arsenal was 8th last season and arteta is the reason we managed to recover from that at the second half of last season.

@Luke Campbell I hope you're right. I have no incentive for him not to do well. I just think fans Overhype him a lot while he has not done much at all. Only After Smith rowe and odegaard came in we won most of our games and pepe finally got unlocked. The best players were: luiz, xhaka, pepe, laca, Tierney and saka (he was not great in second half and I think he's Overhyped too but he did great at England so I hope I'm wrong). We relied a lot on auba and partey and they let us down. I genuinely wish the best for them this season, I'm just not going to pretend they were this amazing players. After all, we placed 8th for reasons. Aubameyang was my favorite player two seasons ago. Now he's terrible. If I had to choose, i want him back in form. He's the best striker in league.

I like this guy. He is a holding mid fielder and he did exactly to my expectations by tackling, holding and then delivering. He doesn't need to score for people to appreciate his work but to fulfill his duties as he did... I give him thumbs up

Wow ..amazing talent. Hardly would you see a defensive midfielder ,with the qualities Partey possess. : Great ball retention , steals the ball neatly from the opponents, breaks opponents attack easily and smoothly, superb passing accuracy , skilful and hardly loses the ball to opponents. Etc What a player , no wonder the Laliga fans calls him "The Octopus"

This is one of the few players that will always force teammates to improve by trusting them and giving them passes in dangerous but highly rewarding tight spaces....look at the number of chances he forced teammates to create by passes that break the line....this is a very beautiful video to watch..........I hope we sign Ben white, houssem aouar, Yves bissouma to replace the must sell xhaka, get a great offer for aubameyang and promote Balogun, get a great right back when bellerin leaves, let lacazette mentor Balogun and nketiah, I hope there's space for willock or we sell with a buyback clause, get another talent like wilshere and I would love football again

I think his best quality is his timing... Whether it's tackling, escaping the press or a forward pass. He brings a sense of calm into the build up play and you can see how he always knows the next pocket of space that Smith-Rowe will pick up. He's a class player and hopefully he gets better

Such a beautiful player to watch when he is on form. We really need two more CMs to help him out. One that is good defensively, physical and can distribute and another with good ball-retention and ability in the final third. This will relieve a lot of the pressure on Partey trying to be a do it all midfielder. His shooting technique from distance needs work and he can be a bit too casual with his execution at times. Also we need a starting quality RB, back-up LB and another attacker (In case Auba keeps declining, plus we can't rely on Laca and Pepe to be consistent all season long).

I love how easy he get's passed opponents sometimes. Just a little body movement and nudge the ball and he is 2 meters passed them.

funnily enough this video highlights the role I think ben white will play if/when he signs. he'll be the inverted RB/CM that teta had bellerin playing. thomas played a lot of hard low balls bypassing the midfield to that area where bellerin would pick it up but ben's a lot better on the ball so I think it'll work really well.

I'm one of a few that actually think he has been quite decent in most games he played in last season. I think there just about three games where he just wasn't himself. But apart from those, I think he has been magnificent so far. I don't know what some fans expect. Does he have to dribble the whole opposition and score 20 goals a season to be accorded his due respect? He is a Central midfielder ffs.

@@aryakarkera9377 Sabitzer is such a well rounded midfielder. A little skeptical of Bundesliga players though. Some of them look so good in Germany, but struggle to adapt to the EPL.

@@nostalgicbliss5547 bisouma is the majority of Arsenal fans preferred choice but I would love to see soucek next to partey. Soucek had an absolutely outstanding season. He could score 7-12 goals from midfield per season, can pick a pass, dominant in the air, not injury prone and as an absolute engine. We always go for the obvious even with our financial constraints the end up with nothing😢

Thank you. And thank you for not using vile music. That music isn't really my style, but it wasn't unpleasant and fitted your video edit well. I hate it when I click on YT vids of my fave players and some youngster has used the woeful music the kids listen to today like rap or cheesy, bland tekno. Let's hope he has a great season. I so wish we could find a player like Santi or Rosicky to play ahead of Partey and behind ESR. Someone like them with the skill to play as a no.10 and the ability to play box to box in a 2 man MF. That's what the team needs. Wish we'd tried Odegaard there when we had the chance with ESR at 10. All the best. Come on you Gooners.
