I would call these kitbash models, as these were kitbashed from whatever the factory workers could get their hands on. Reminds me of how the old Star Wars figurine prototypes were made.

That's asking who your favorite child is 😆 Right now, I'm in the process of getting more factory samples! My long-term goal is to collect every single character in the first edition packaging! Every (clickety-clack eras, germans, benjamins, talking railway, factory errors, and every variant of 1992 trains)!! From your collection, I want the proto peter sam, orange cargo car, breakdown train, factory error Annie alongside the factory error metallic Thomas and Percy!!!
