Because thanos don't hit the center he hits the side of the shield so the energy absorb is not equal plus the strength of thanos and the material of the double sided blade

This is actually scientifically accurate. If something can break anything it should be able to deliver a large amount of force, and if something were to be in unbreakable it should deflect all of that force, resulting in this. Overall the shield should scientifically survive, but according to MCU it's the opposite that happens

BTW, this can be represented by a historical event in Chinese idioms. " 自相矛盾" meaning a person says something that contradicts themselves: one claiming that the shield is unbreakable and one claiming that it is the greatest weapon where everything is breakable by it. Great Job in doing this cultural exchange!!! 👏 using American elements to substitute into the historical Chinese idiom
