Thor was forced to become Jake Olsen by various cosmic entities because he was responsible for his death in a fight with the Destroyer. And Thor died as well. So in exchange for being resurrected to save the Avengers he had to adopt Jake Olsen's life. So for Thor it makes sense why he is Jake Olsen. I'm not sure why these cosmic beings thought Jake Olsen was so important. Also Jake Olsen was a paramedic selling the drugs he has access to on the side which is why it wasn't obvious to everyone that he was a drug dealer and why Donald Blakes medical knowledge really comes in handy for him in side plots. I actually quite enjoyed this era, not all of it was good, look the Enrakt plot but I enjoyed a lot of it but it's one of those runs where you really have to read every issue to understand what's going on as there's subplots all over the place which can get pretty confusing!

You should do more Thor Back Issues. I feel you favor to much Batman and Spider-man.I get they get more views but there still is some cool Thor books. Especially the Marvel Now series and the new Thor I actually love the female version.

so Enrakt talks dirty to thors hammer and makes it turn against thor. I really hope this is the reason why thor is now unworthy. it is not that thor is unworthy of the hammer but because Enrakt made his hammer turn against thor. the hammer is unworthy of thor.

Well Beyblades and especially Beigoma, the spinning top battling sport it derives from is not 'nonsense for children', they are an ancient sport going back hundreds if not thousands of years through Japan all the way back to China. People actually carve or cast tops with the names of emperors, samurai, family crests, mythical beings and other entities of cultural significance to represent their faction as they battle with those tops in a serious sport.

Yep, people used to make them out of all sorts of materials including sea shells filled with sand or wax. They then battle in 'stadiums' made of carved polished rocks, tree trunks, cooking woks etc. Elders who played them as kids, grow up and establish dojos/ gyms in their neighbourhood and they battle with other regions like actual Beyblade or Pokemon. It's just like any other sport, basketball, football, etc.

I didn't pick up a THOR comic until Aaron started writing (because I was a Aaron fan after the first six issues of SCALPED). I will check out this Volume two of which you speak.

Odinson fucking sucks dude, so while there are some similarities between the Thor/Donald Blake transformation and the Billy Batson/Shazam transformation, plus the lightning stuff and the connection to the gods... Shazam is WAY cooler. Great video btw, back issues is the best.

Luke Nicholls what? Shazam never had a dog, he had a tiger, which is fucking awesome, and the Shazam family is fucking awesome too, they've been in the comics far longer than odinson, that weird wacky aspect of Shazam is what makes him cool, it gives him a whole nother feel, it's original, he's got a lot of character, he's just fucking cool, odinson is boring af, no dimension to his character at all.
