Being a dane there is so many players that I miss. trace, zonic (get to see him a little still), ave, Sunde, mJe, Paddy, whiMp and ArcadioN. On an international scene I miss spanish player and superstar Musamban1 and old NoA players, Knoxville, ShaGuar, XeqtR, elemeNt etc. So many good times in 1.6, damn I miss mid 00s, those times were damn intense.

As someone who played CS since beta 3, weird to here all these names that couldn't transition, and then also none of them are familiar. There was a huge amount of talent that peaked way to early for esports. and Counter-Strike was a major reason why E-Sports kicked off in America how it did.

Would say Xizt and Karrigan who did played for fnatic in the latter days of 1.6 and made a solid transition to CSGO but then they weren't like big names at all during that period despite playing for a well known team. You got Olofmeister and Pronax,who weren't even that known in 1.6 but made the transition to CSGO and the rest for them is history.

What about Robbin I know he's coaching faze now but he was great in the Sweden scene

DSN, sick awper, solid rifler and a pistol beast. Had a great mind and would be worth top dollar in CSGO now where IGL's seem to be very lacking in skillsets or have very basic skills.

You forgot to say some Brazilian star 1.6 players that still playing CSGO, I think is interesting to add some of them: pava is playing CSGO since the beginning in Brazil, he was the best pistol BR player and one the most talent players that we ever had. Nowadays he's playing for team oNe in BR nak returned to the scene on 2015 playing for Keyd Stars, in my opinion he was the third best CS 1.6 player in Brazil, just behind to cogu and fnx. Nowadays he's playing for Red (old orbit) bit was another successful player, he won ShgOpen at his first international tournament playing against top teams as Pentagram, Begrip, NoA, SK and fnatic. Nowadays he's playing for team oNe aside pava in Brazil bruno played in the most victorious mibr lineup ever in Brazil, he won ESWC 2006 and ShgOpen 2007, he was very underrated player at the time, very similar to TACO in SK. Nowadays he returned to play in the competitive BR scene, he's playing for ProGaming

i think you fucked up with ROMJke part.. he was actually pretty trash for a long time towards the end of 1.6, the other russian player who could've legit succeeded in cs:go is most definitely ED1k, he was one of the best players in the world towards the end of 1.6, in 2011 especially, while being an ingame leader
