THORPE PARK New Roller Coaster POV (Animated)

Take a POV ride on Thorpe Park’s brand new roller coaster set to open in 2024 (we think)! This ride, code named ‘Project Exodus’ will be the UK’s tallest rollercoaster standing at 236ft tall! Meaning it is even taller than Stealth, the current tallest ride at the theme park!

Guys also if we go on the consultation website there’s a part where we can Give our opinion on the final page. I think everyone should ask for the layout to be extended and give their own reason why. The only way something is going to change it if we all say something

It's great we are getting a new coaster! And can't wait to experience it, however in typical Merlin fashion they have decided to make the layout so short, I find it pointless to go so high for coaster that will be over in 70 seconds, all the hight, speed and moment this coaster will build just to be on the break run before you can blink, they should of created a proper hyper coaster with a longer layout and more airtime moments or packed a compact woody in this small area, I think this is the wrong coaster for this space. Great work on POV Jack.

@@joshl9328 those have the launch though as a selling point also, if this had a launch too it would have another marketing tool, I agree that the layout is too short, but either way, I hope it’ll be good, Thorpe needs this

This is probably the most we can expect from thorpe. Limited land space for building high due to low foliage coverage and UK councils seem to think coasters are an eye sore. This one has been designed really carefully so the peaks line up precicesly with specific trees blocking the view. It's such a shame, I think coaster skylines look nice.

Don’t get me wrong everything here is fantastic. But, when you’re going 230 ft only to be in the break run after a minute it’s a hell of a lot of wasted speed and potential. Even if it went out in to 3/4 bunny hills before coming back I’d be happier. Use the space and speed Merlin, please!

Not gonna lie. Love that Thorpe are going for something we don’t have in the UK. Love that. However the lift hill is basically longer than the ride. That’s the one issue I have with these types of coasters if they have such a short layout. That and the concept art makes it look like such a mess with the colours they had it as but this does make me think it looks a little better.

An unfortunate part about most of the coasters at Thorpe is that they fail to split the ride into parts. For example in this ride, it would be fantastic if it had a classic, icon-like, low to the floor, over the lake, speedy, winding area of track where the train could run off the speed and add to the duration of the ride. You can see there’s a perfect area for this in the forest behind at the end which wouldn’t add too much extra to the cost but would boost its reputation by so much

This actually looks sick, however I wish it had a few airtime hills at the end of varying heights to use that excess speed and because Thorpe desperately needs airtime!

To be honest, I reckon they should get rid of all but one of the inversions, and find space for more airtime instead. Also, if I wanted a 30 second ride, I'd be going on Stealth, so please make it longer Thorpe. At least the first drop looks incredible though.

How to build a ride at TP: 1. Add a drop that goes down the way it came up 2. Focus on inversions 3. Last no longer than 30 secs

It really has RMC elements, especially RMC raptor (that first outerbank, that huge second seems like one on Steel Vengeance, stall like every new RMC …) so still waiting for TRex model

Nice recreation! I think it will have smaller trains though more like Smiler. The layout looks good, albeit shorter than I’d like. Some interesting elements on there which will be different to anything else Thorpe has.

It just seems like they want to break the tallest UK rollercoaster record based on the length and layout, it's a shame that they value that over an enjoyable experience although I don't doubt that this will be thrilling and I certainly can't wait to go on it.

all i hope is that they use the right restraint system… bulky otsrs could definitely hinder the experience and merlin tends to like having otsrs instead of lap bar equivalents even when lap bars would be more than suitable

It's a bit short only 1:22 ride time including lift Hill for maybe however long it is queuing I know it isn't the full thing yet but if it were to be published as this it would be a bit short

too short could have had a little midcourse with some low to the ground elements like some s bends similar to cheetah hunt and some airtime hills to slow it up before final brake run

Too short! They’ve done a half job. Great start, great height, great ambition but cut way too short. Makes you appreciate how much thought was put into icon on a piece of land 1/3 of this!

Honestly if they just added a few twist and turns and air time hills at the end I could honestly see this being one of the best rides in Europe let alone England because the first half is insane it's just too short that makes it feel incomplete despite how amazing the ride is gonna be. However I think it will be most people's #1 coaster once you get over how short it is, the rest of the layout is incredible
