Our mind is like a rattlesnake. There, the pride that I am mine, everything is from me, the anger, passion, hatred, jealousy and cruelty that comes from it is filled with poison. It is bubbling. ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿ ಕಾಳಿಂಗಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನದು, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದಲೇ ಎಂಬ ಅಹಂಕಾರ, ಅದರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ರೋಷ, ಆವೇಶ, ದ್ವೇಷ, ಮತ್ಸರ, ದುರುಳತನವೆಂಬ ವಿಷ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಗಾಗ ಹೆಡೆಯೆತ್ತುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಬುಸುಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವೇಕ, ವಿವೇಚನೆ, ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅನರ್ಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಂತಹ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಂಬ ವಿಷಸರ್ಪವನ್ನು ನಾವೇ ಮಣಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮರ್ದಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಗಲೇ ವಿಷಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವ ಮನಸ್ಸು ತಿಳಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇತರರಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುತ್ತದೆ
