Was I the only one left unimpressed? I wouldn't consider this console a game changer. It is literally a beefed up PS4, which would have been impressive if the Pro's specs were what was released when the PS4 first came out.

Oh well, at least it doesn't cost 599 USD. :P I personally don't understand that whole fuss with 4K gaming on consoles, within a year or so, their hardware will be outdated anyway.

Me: They removed the headphone jack?! Roommate: Yeah, but they're including a lightning adapter so you can plug headphones in that way. Me: Oh, so I can plug in my Bose QC15's but not charge my phone at the same time. Genius, Apple. If I remember correctly, Apple basically called it a "courageous move" to fit more important stuff into the phone. I usually upgrade every other year, meaning I'd be due for an upgrade this year. Not sure if I'm feeling it.

PCs have had HDR for years. Half-Life 2 has HDR and was built into its Engine since 2006.

+jakthebomb didn't now that,I think consoles will come to a end in the next few years,as soon as a new console is released its outdated straight away because of the power of the pc

ps4 are not getting real hdr. you need hdmi 2.0 port. and the ps4's have hdmi 1.4. and even if it did. you still need a game that have hdr and a 4k tv. sony is lying.

I have multiple Monitors that double as screens for my consoles. My rig has been upgraded over time the Motherboard is from 2011 as well as the CPU and Memory. Only upgrades have been SSDs, HDDs and the GPU.

Whenever I see this Console Vs PC argument it usually comes from people who spent $1000 building a PC and enjoy modding each and every game they play in slightly different ways to get them to run at max. These people usually buy games at discount prices because they try out a tonne of games, sometimes multiple games a day, rarely finishing any of them. Console users do not want to do these things.

To all the Pro (shitty joke i know) PS4 Pro commenters: All the PS4 Pro is, is a watered & locked down PC. Only advantage consoles have these days is exclusives, everything else is better on PC. Fuck paying for online, fuck paying more for an inferior version of a game and fuck the shady business practices. Even if the starting price for a console is cheaper, you'll be spending more in the long run than if you had a decent PC. I'd just advise people to build/ buy a PC, its cheaper in the long run, you get to deal with less bullshittery and overall its better gaming experience. As Catherine said, the PS4 Pro has not/will do a single thing that the PC hasn't done already. Rant over.

The GPU in my Rig cost $700 when I bought it. But, you are also forgetting what a PC can do vs a PS4. Can you manage your KZfaq on the PS4? Can you use a Video Editor on your PS4? Can you write a Resume on a PS4? Nope... even though it cost more, it does a shit load more than the PS4 is capable due to it's closed ecosystem.

***** My PC doesn't require a upgrade to play 4K Blu-Rays. The same Blu-Ray drive I bought in 2011 can play 4K Blu-Rays.

I am only complaining about the misleading marketing that console makers have been dishing out. They praise their console like it is the first time in gaming history that we had these features. 4K is not new for gaming, it is for Consoles though. Same is true for HDR, which has been on PC for years. What about 1440p? It has been a thing since the PS3 came out.

I own a PS4, I think I have a right to "Chime" in. I am a Gamer, I just prefer PCs. I buy only exclusives on consoles, all Multi Plats I get on PC.
