People always talk about songs that have strong meanings that are often ignored due to tone of the song, and this is a prime example. The fury in the vocals and instrumental balances out the rather depressing lyrics. I know several different meanings can be derived from one song, but here's the meaning I got: The way I see it, the song is about someone in an abusive relationship who chooses not to leave despite how terribly its affecting them because they still genuinely love the abuser. As a result, they are letting themselves be abused and letting the abuser take their anger out on them in a desperate attempt to maintain peace.

Your testimony can carry you through false accusations. This happened to me a couple of years ago when there was a guy at work who just didn't like me. Something racist happened over the radio that I had nothing to do with but I work alone in my shop so there was no one to witness that I didn't do it. The comment was directed at the guy that didn't like me. He immediately accused me. The boss had to come talk to me because my name came to his attention. But everyone who knows me - no matter what their skin color is - stood up and said I did not say it. That is because of how I have tried to live my faith and how I have treated others regardless of race. Thank God for that.

As an atheist I believe that everyone is equal no matter on the minor things that makes us different like religious beliefs. I was raised really religious but having different thoughts since I was 8 it made religious people throughout my life cast me aside for just having questions that maybe no one asked. I enjoy this band not because is a religious band like skillet which I love as well, but because this messages can be for anyone without forcing them to change the views. And to be honest, ever since I became an atheist I feel more happy than before I was religious in both the US and Mexico, some thing that took me until I got to college to be honest with my family. And just a final question to make ur minds wonder, if God gave us free will then why do we always days that he already has a plan for all of us? Doesn't free will means that each individual creates their own destiny without the influence of third parties or power from a higher being that was probably created by humanity to oppress other people like native Americans back when the colonizers took their land and committed atrocious genocide because God told them that it was right to do it because of the manifest destiny
