The zen of skating is like the zen of surfing (or fighting)- you basically just waiting for a shark.. or for physics to call your number. You sacrifice your body for a profound purpose. I'm just stoked to see someone channeling that consistency have a good time.. We could talk a little bit about self sacrifice and cognitive behavior therapy.. No one does anything alone, tho we all know it can feel that way..

@@Vscustomprinting Not luck at all, at least not for most of these. He's good enough to recognize in a split second which tries need to be bailed. People get fucked up on tricks not nearly as dangerous just because they're inexperienced. It also has to do with how he approaches tricks when he's trying them. Like with the huge wallride, he was putting more of his weight behind him so he'd fall on the wall if he was unbalanced. It's super common for good skaters to err on the side of caution to get a feel for a trick, or have safer bails. There's a Thrasher article where Ishod talks about this kind of stuff, super cool

that wallride at the end is really unbelievable. best trick in the whole part imo. thats one of those spots that if anyone would try would basically think its impossible once hopping on the wall. and ur going so inanely fast at the end straight into the ground. i cannot imagine

Not nearly as popular as Cali but Miami definitely isn’t underrated for skating. It’s got it’s fair share of legendary spots. Especially in the early 2000

@@jetwork131 i skated the east coast of florida in south miami, we never had a skatepark in the only county that rarely gets any frost in december. we used to have to go mid-state or daytona to find skateparks. in south miami people even after tony hawk never really skated around. we had barely any skate shops. I remember going to the vans store in the mall just to skate a minihalf
