I just picked up a Model 15-30 (June 1910), and I plan on giving it to my mother as a birthday present, so this was very helpful in helping me learn how it works so I can pass that on to her.

My needle doesn' t pick up the bobbin thread. What might be the problem?

I have a question. I bought a tire for mine for the bobbin winder. It rest on the leather pulley and extremely hard to push down to wind bobbin. Though it was for a 15-30 it said, is there a reliable source to purchase a specific tire for the 15-30?
