Thank you! I was swearing at the machine for about 15 minutes trying to work this out from the instruction book but you taught me in a couple of minutes!

This was sort of helpful i wanted to make scrunchys but my mum was asleep and i don't know haw to thred the machine so i looked it up and found your video and it gave me the general idea of haw to do it but not completely, so my mum just woke up and now she is about to help me Thanks it really did help

I was looking for a video that explained the two slide levers on the upper right of a similar machine that I am considering to add to my machine collection and I happened to come across this video. I've been sewing for 50 years and is very comfortable with almost all sewing machines. This instructor is very good. From the first couple of videos that I saw, she teaches it the way I learned it from formal sewing instructors if my youth. It's good to see this skill being passed on. Her instructions are clear. The only difference I see is how she does her gathering instructions. I was taught not to tie off at either end allowing me to pull the thread to gather from either ends of both parallel threads, because sometimes the thread could break on you. I would also recommend talking about quality threads verses less quality threads, especially if the thread keeps breaking while you sew (quality threads make a world of difference). Carry on, you're doing great!

Thanks for this! I'll have to check again, but I thought this machine had an auto threader.

For those who may be having difficulties getting the bobbin thread loop to work, you may have to press the foot pedal and let the machine cycle a few times before it catches. I tried the hand threading method described both here and in the manual and it would not catch the bobbin thread in one or even two tries. It was only after I cycled the machine a few times with the foot pedal that it grabbed hold to create the loop.

After spending so much time on more than one occasion trying to understand the instruction book and with much frustration putting the JOLLY machine back in the cupboard I was actually going to sell it, but by pure luck I found your video while looking for how many $ to sell it for. Life changing

hello i have this machine and trying to hem t-shirt with a twin needle but it seems to slip every now and them on the right needle i have a metal bobbin on the winding spool and thread on the spool holder and plastic spool in the case both top threads are threaded together and separated at the needle and the right thread is behind the hook please help me what am i doing wrong thankyou
