I even staystitched ALL edges. Learned this in the 1960s and still do this. Straightening the fabric was the hardest when double or stretch knits came into fashion. Clothing I made then have kept their shape even today in 2020. Excellent lesson.

I think next pattern I sew I will use a yellow highlighter to mark the stay stitching on the paper pattern with directional arrows showing which direction I should stay stitch to make it easier to keep track. I can just refer to the pattern each time I need to stay stitch. Thank you so much.

This really does make sense to me. So often I see fabric move when I’m sewing it. I hope you will be able to do another video on armholes and darts. Darts would be easy sewing widest to narrowest but armholes look as though the bottom half should be sewn up and the upper part sewn down to meet the earlier stitching. I’ll try it and see what happens. Thank you so much for teaching this.
