Amiri one of the hottest brands in fashion right now. I’m sure you’ve heard every rapper from Lil Baby, to Gunna and Pop Smoke mention their Amiri Jeans, but in this video we’re going to be taking a closer look at Mike Amiri - the man behind the brand. His crazy journey begins in California where he grew first fell in love with Rock-n-roll, went to college to become a lawyer, became one of the founders of Korean Hip Hop, rented out a basement to start making jackets, and then took over the industry. This the history of Amiri.

Nothing more wholesome than finding fellow South Africans in the comment section. I feel the same way. I am getting so much context and understanding to the depthitude of the fashion industry. I wish I had this knowledge prior to being disheartened at my pursuit in fashion. I've been binging because this content reignites the flame and I appreciate it so much . Keep it up!

Starting his brand at 38, ahiii I’m 21 currently and had aspirations of all types of shit at 16 that I haven’t done yet. Not trying to say I lost them of course. Whether it’s him, or some people in my life doing it at whatever age, thank you :) you can still do it!

His story is definitely inspiring, especially at the age he was to start a fashion brand. Takes focus and consistency. He definitely gave people hope to go after whatever you desire no matter the age!

The first time I heard about Mike Amiri is in2012. During that time, Clothing with "Short gun" distressing detail and leather patched MX1 denim gave me a shocking and impressive moment.

I like Amiri for their boots. I discovered him maybe 5 years ago while I was in the Bay Area. The weird thing is that I've never known anyone who knows what Amiri is or has it. Maybe it's more prevalent in LA? I find his style very similar to Saint Laurent except less chic.
