In this clip you'll see this band, who were around in the days that Bix recorded this song in 1927, perform it as well .They follow a simpliefied arrangement of the original recording.
Before I started playing myself I heard Red Nichols and his Five Pennies quite a lot on the radio and I am glad I could present you with this video.
In the band are of course Red Nichols on cornet, Jack Kingston tombone, Rosie Mc Hargue clarinet, Joe Rushton bass sax, Robbie Hammack piano and Rollie Culver drums.

My mentor and friend Rosy Mchargue swinging out. What a great player and person he was. I will always miss him and our late night conversations after playing at Sterlings steakhouse in Santa Monica, Ca.

The trombonist is Moe Schneider. The pianist is Bobby Hammock.

I like this very much, but it seems to me to be based on the original folk melody of Three Blind Mice (with jazz arrangement and improvisation of course) not on Chauncey Morehouse's Three Blind Mice, which is what Bix improvised on in 1927: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m51gYNeqx9-5cqs.html
