Love the big bite minnow head in Black/Chartreuse and Chartreuse with red eye. Put an Eclipse baby shad on Black/Chartreuse jighead in muddy water oooohhh boy the white bass and crops friccin love that color.

"Dinkleton" 😂 I usually say "Dinklestein." Completely agree on the river current comment. While fishing the Fox River in Oshkosh, we'll land gills just outside of the current.... move a little bit deeper and find the crappie. Those river crappie are studs from fighting that current! Great video Davis!

It's funny you say white pink and chartreuse. Growing up we would catch them on solid white or solid chartreuse. So it's been many years since I've fished that lake I grew up on and my brother and I have a trip planned in April to go there and try some crappie fishing and I picked up some white/chartreuse and solid chartreuse jigs. These are truly go to colors.

Davis usually big crappie are at one consistent depth usually 12 ft comfort zone you don't have to fish in middle of lake because it's hot big crappie sit on bottom in shallow water and stay cool feeding.Catching giants in Mississippi River bakwaters 2 ft deep muddy water oxygen and bait, current water temp 82 there comfortable.Chef

There really is no failproof color, theres always a niche for everything. I love to throw a dark blue and silver baby shad on a super overcast day and they'll thump the shit outta that color most of the time. Yet Ill throw it on a brighter day and they wont even sniff it.

I’m from Southern Wisconsin. This year I’ve been fishing One of the chain of lakes in Madison. We’ve been catching a lot of bluegills but we try for Crappie, and chartreuse is one of the colors we use but wondering if you have any tips that could switch us from bluegill to crappie. Thank you

I recently purchased the garmin force trolling motor. Before that I had a minnkota edge. The sonar system on the bow is a Garmin echomap 93sv with the panoptix livescope system

You can use your 73sv with the livescope system, it just might be difficult to read the screen. The most common system purchased is the 93sv with the livescope system

I have the Garmin 73sv and I'm thinking about getting a Live scope for the bow of my boat I have a 2005 Best track 165 pro can you help me out

Sure, although I would recommend a larger screen (I do realize that is more expensive). The 78nch screen may make it difficult to read livescope. The livescope system is the LVS 32 tranducer and the GLS10 black box. Garmin makes another tranducer the LVS12, however it does not show the same range of the water column as the panoptix system. I included links in the video description to my livescope setup

I really like them for what I do (mostly panfish). I use mainly the 1000 or 500 size reels. I know quite a few walleye angler use the carbon x 2000 size.

It's easy to tie, and for crappie you dont need a super strong knot...unless your fishing in the mid south.
