Beautiful! I did a 60 mile hike with my boyfriend in the 80s but just south of the Mt. Whitney area... We hiked a loop and went up and over New Army Pass (wowza, a real muscle burner that one) and stayed a few days at Rock Creek Lake. Stunning views and I blew up some of the photos I took on that trip and they hung on my walls for decades...

Some day I’m going to try like a 2-3 day hike with a really small backpack and just dry food and a super light tent/mattress. No extra clothes, no liquids(I’ll water from lakes/creeks), no random stuff etc. Should be doable, right?
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos Ай бұрын
Definitely doable but depends on various conditions including how cold it's likely to get. You could bring a tarp that you can tie up to trees instead of a tent, in case it rains. I got all my water from creeks and the lake, having some sort of water purifier is advised but not necessarily necessary, the water in those high mountains is probably clean.
