I agree with the sentiment, but innocent until proven guilty is still a thing, though. It's called due process. This is what the probe is for.

"Innocent before guilty" is such a scam when it only applies to those who work in law enforcement or any other judicial system jobs. I find it insane how everyone else doesn't get paid leave when arrested, no matter if innocent or guilty. There's no fairness or justice when the majority are fired without being proven guilty.

However, for most of us that hasn't been how the system works for a very long time. If public sector individuals and the protected classes have greater protections than the rest of us, which they do, then this is not okay. One group gets arrested, charged, jailed, and prosecuted while the special people get extra vacation days. It is only due process if the process is the same for everyone. Also, you are misunderstanding what the 'probe' is for. The probe is to delay and cover as many backsides as possible while making the problem go away as quietly and painlessly as possible for the special people. When they 'probe' us regular folks, they are often trying to find some way, even if they have to lie and stretch the law to its breaking point, to take your freedom and property. Don't you see that this is the crux of the problem?

Cuz they fire them and in the eyes of law enforcement thats a really harsh punishment so they wouldn't want to punishment their officers anymore. Wild mentality but its one the police have.

I believe they changed the law AFTER Kealoha, to where if charged with a crime (not sure of degree of crime) while in the force, and let go, they lose their pensions. Kealoha still going get his pension though. 🙄
