Three Liberating Gifts: Forgiveness (Part 1) 03/25/2015 - Tara Brach
This 3 part series is based on a teaching story from the Upanishads that shows our potential to awaken from an ego-based trance and discover the full luminosity and freedom of our natural awareness. In each class we'll explore one of the three gifts considered as essential on the spiritual path. The first is the capacity to forgive, to let go of the blame and resentment that prevents our hearts from being open and free. The second gift is "inner fire," the capacity to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to what we most cherish. The third gift is a "mirror" or the capacity to look deeply into our own hearts and minds and realize the truth of who we are. Each class includes guided meditations that explore how these gifts can be nourished right here and now in our lives.

I found this video some months ago and decided to watch it again as I felt some resentment came back. Just wanted to say that this helped me forgive my therapist. We terminated and there's times where I still get angry but I don't hold it against her anymore. Thank you.

I've been following your channel for a few months now. And I always found great wisdom in your videos. But this time was different. This time you hit me just right where I needed to be hit. Because after so much silent pain I've been trough in these last couple of months. I truly armored myself and I've been keeping my self away from love... when I had the best chance to grasp it... I dont usually do these long comments. But I honestly hope you read this. Thank you Tara, for helping me.

I am SO LUCKY to have found Tara, her wisdom, and the wonderful way she teaches such important life lessons. "Why Tim? Why the Pain? Why such an innocent child was destroyed? It just has to be more than "Life is not Fair". Maybe the answer is in the next phase of this journey. What the hell do I know?????????

Thank you! As I was watching this, I shed the blame and the resentment towards someone I used to know and experienced freedom.

I really enjoyed this. I still won't forgive them. They don't deserve forgiveness and only deserve to be alone and unhappy the rest of their life 😊🥰

People are afraid to forgive because you dont want to condone or be at fault or say it's ok, really when you forgive nobody has to know but you so how would anyone know anyways. Just forgive in your head and heart and move on
