Three Lifelong Skills with Meditation... 1. Wisdom ( seeing thing as it is) 2. Learning okay not to be okay ( makes problem as opportunity to learn and grow) 3. learning to be present, not lost thank you Rinpoche 🙏

I learnt shamatha meditation from HE Mingyur Rinpoche in Bodh Gaya in 2017 and 2018 during the Kagyud Monlam Chenmo . Mingyur Rinpoche's teaching on shamatha was brilliant and so simple to understand . I still meditate with Rinpoche using his KZfaq videos . I was doing meditation for one month everyday for 2 minutes and then in January my beloved father passed away . I was crying hopelessly at first but then when i got back home and did shamatha and contemplated the teachings on impermanence a deep sense of acceptance of the frugality of this samsara filled my heart. I concerntrate on prayers and butterlamps for my father and doing gyelwa on his behalf . Even after 49 days every prayer I make is for him and all sentient beings who are in bardo . I kept my mind at peace and my father visited me in my dreams many time and assured me he is alright . That was the power of shamatha to me and I am motivated to get higher and higher in levels of meditation. My father was the person I loved the most in this world and I accepted his death so now no one's death will break me in this world. I am free from the fear of death of loved ones. If I can let my father go I can let go of anyone in this world .

THE LESSON When we confront discomfort: 1. See things as they are without adding our judgments. 2. Learn to accept the unwanted, recognizing that it will exist regardless of our wishes. We cannot escape from it, but we can change our perspective and transform it into a tool for personal growth, helping us to better handle it the next time we encounter it. 3. Not being lost - being present. How? For example, through breathing meditation: direct your attention to your breath. As long as you continue to feel it, you are fully aware. When you forget it in favor of other things like thoughts, you become lost. However, by remembering it, you become aware and present again. You don't need to stop thinking; you simply ignore it by gently redirecting your attention back to your breath.

Wow the first one is very relatable for me. I have this thing I do where I blush when a conversation becomes dry because I feel pressured to say something to keep it going, but then my mind dwells on the fact that I feel pressured and try’s to make me think of something to say quicker. It’s a constant cycle and it ends up with me blushing and feeling embarrassed about it for some reason (idk why) and leaves me feeling like a fool. Very nice video

This was really helpful. The concept that out of the practice of simple awareness comes an understanding of truth, how things really are. And from an understanding of how things are rises wisdom.

Three lifelong skills: 1 natural breath, being with the breath as it is, is the beginning of the development of wisdom 2 if worries come, to do lists, no need to stop them: let them come let them go 3 You're not lost, you're with the breath: "short time, many times". 1 be with situation as it is, be clear and present with that 2 mistake, problem somewhere, obstacle: let them come, let them go. Learn from them, we can grow from problem. 3 Don't get lost completely, you always come back to you work, your study, your relationships with others.

After a long time practice of being awareness, I can now see emotion being triggered by certain incident. I recognised it I am ready for it and I manage not to act physically verbally or other behaviour when it's motivated by anger or other bad emotions...

Today I listened to this great teaching at the beginning of the week that I will move to Minneapolis where I hope that Mingyur Rinpoche will become my teacher. I've been a Buddhist since 1987, and heard two talks by him in person. I've been a certified meditation instructor for thirty years and I consider him one of the world's greatest teachers. Many of his teachings are on his Tergar website, many for free. Whatever obstacles you have run into there is a good chance you can learn much from him and the other teachers that he authorizes to teach new students in many locations.

I have been a follower for several years and your teachings easy to learn and so helpful. I'm sure there are many lessons that delve deeper and become more of a challenge. As you have mastered those perhaps you would like to share a few with us. I know you have sessions one can pay for, some of us are on a fixed income but still could benefit from your wisdom. Just a thought......a good thought. Thank you for being. Namaste.

Through dzogchen you realise the space of your awareness as well as reality. Phenomenon, simultaneously arising within the space of rigpa. Eventuality you get so good at it that this recognition is effortlessly achieved. You become the space of the internal experiencer. And you go so far into this space where you realise what the buddhas are saying. You understand theirs no difference between a buddha and a sentient. You realise the essence of where the potentiality for both buddha and sentient. You realise the nature of it very profoundly, which when you first realise it, you go into shock of anxiety but you then as an advanced trekcho practitioner, go into it again and again and you realise buddha nature and that it doesnt make a difference whether youre an ant or Samantabhadra or what. It doesnt matter. What would it matter when you see buddha nature. You see the condition for the potentiality for a buddha or a sentient, its all the same, you see where that came from. True buddha nature
