You have plenty to choose from. 1997 Le Mans 24 hours, the factory Porsche GT1 burst into flames with 2 hours to go. In the 1990 race, a private owned team, the Brun Motorsport Porsche 962 lost oil, and destroyed its engine with 15 minutes to go. The 2002 race saw the Noel Del Nello Reynard 2KQ take the lead of the old LMP 675 class with 1 hour to go, after the leading WR 675 Peugeots rear suspension failed. Let's not forget the 2010 race when ALL THREE REMNADING HDI FAP DIESEL PEUGEOTS suffered engine failures throughout the morning.

Dumb response from Matthew. Racing is not easy. Companies that pull out for years then come back have issues coming back. For Honda in F1 they had the idiotic token system for engine improvement and not enough time to develop the platform. Racing in any case is a difficult sport. Claiming that a manufacturer sucks because they don't win consistently is idiotic and short sighted to say the least. Irony is the car was leading when a part on the turbo failed.

To hear people say that you must delete your emotions in order to conform to the PC culture is tantamount to an excerpt from Orwell 1984. I know piss poor sportsmanship and the elation expressed by the Porsche drivers and some of the team is exactly what one should experience, its not poor sportsmanship.
