Sam and Lynn you are legends thanks for what you do and sharing so many amazing stories. I fell in love w this game in 2011 with pinoes cross and i’ve been interested ever since. I am so proud of how the game has grown and I cannot wait to see what happens next! best of luck to the ladies this summer. CHOMP

I respect Crystal being willing and unselfish playing in a position that benefits the national team. My favorite player is Rachel Daly and she does the same thing for England as Crystal does. Have to love and respect those players...

Love Crystal. I’m glad she’s back and doing well. You should get Julie Ertz on here if you can. I know she’s not super into interviews/press, but she’s been doing a few lately, so maybe? She’s got a lot going on though, so it would be cool to hear about her journey and where she’s at. She’s such an incredible role model. Very inspiring

The penalty kick rule for that 18:45 situation is a bit gray. Via the official rules Law 14 covers PKs. "...After the players have taken positions in accordance with this Law, the referee signals for the penalty kick to be taken. The player taking the penalty kick must kick the ball forward; backheeling is permitted provided the ball moves forward. The ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly moves..." Sophia didn't 'kick' the ball so it, technically, hadn't entered play but the player 'must' kick the ball on the refs signal. It's probably a good 'no call' from the ref but would be something that would eventually get called if PK takers started using it constantly as a mind game kind of move.

I was so relieved to hear Lynn’s confusion on that PK because I was just as confused in that moment. I came to the comment section in hopes someone had an answer. Definitely gray area there but I appreciate the help ❤

Glad to hear you two chat about how climate change impacts athletics, I know Sam has focused on this in the past. Yay to Lynn for the reusable iced coffee cup and straw situation - Sam get on board and ditch the single-use stuff. Quite the disconnect between words and actions.
