I'm a Canadian and I feel bad for the U.S. right now. This is not how that country should be! I have never been to N.Y. and I've always wanted to go and I am actually from Montreal Quebec. I met many nice Americans who visited Montreal and they went on about how much they love how clean our city is. We have one of the most advanced public transit underground metro syatems that get you anywhere on the Island of Montreal. There isn't a high crime rate here either and it's safe on the streets at night. We have the F1 GP race here too and our entertainment venues really rock! On St. Catherine street is our main drag of all the great restaurants and clubs and street entertainment is so captivating. And the women? Holy shit you wouldn't believe just how many beautiful women there are here! It's like a fashion show walking down St. Catherine street and guys are turning their heads left and right ! So that's only a few things I can tell you about Montreal so if any of you New Yorkers need to get away from it all or even any Americans for that matter take a trip here and take a break you all deserve . So swing easy and I hope things get better in America soon and return to the better America you always were . 🇱🇷🇨🇦✌️

New York City is extremely overrated

I went somewhere today and a woman tried to fight someone and got put out of the building, later on while I was waiting on the train, a couple more people were fighting but the people around them ended up breaking it up. It's crazy out here for real man. So much anger and violence, crazy people, druggies, drunks, homeless people. It really makes you not want to even go anywhere. Yesterday a guy literally s*** himself on the train and you could smell it coming from the next train car over. I got off and waited for the next one. I'm not going to subject myself to smelling that the entire time. I really hate this place. I'm trying to move but it's not easy with how much everything costs. Almost everywhere you go it smells like pee and trash. You see rats, you see people passed out on the sidewalk and everything. We don't know if they are sleep or dead or if it's just the drugs. Even today just being out I saw at least five people just passed out on the side walk in different places

When Juliani was Mayor, my daughter and I walked down the street from the Mariott to see the last play of CATS. It was dark, but well lit and clean. After the play, we went to a nice restaurant on Broadway. Then walked back at about 11 pm to the Marquette. We were in a room facing times Square. Just loved the beauty and excitement on a wonderful visit to a safe, beautiful NYC. We visited NYC often to watch plays, many weedends.

Why tourists would want to go there and see that.... I'll never understand.

The times I’ve told old friends in NYC that I was thinking of moving back, I’ve gotten the EXACT same response: shocked silence. They couldn’t believe I’d even consider it. But I’m used to the lifestyle I’m living now, which is a fraction of the $10K a month it would cost in Manhattan, and the streets there are so dirty! And the crime!

Do you see how filthy NYC is now litter everywhere it wasn’t like that years ago as a matter fact probably about three years ago. Before mayor Adams got there they had cleaned the city up beautifully. I used to live in NYC and came back almost once or twice a year to visit friends and family. We always come back to NYC for the holidays for Christmas cheer Thanksgiving day parade…. All the things of the past. Between the crime illegal immigrants and the filth is no longer a viable place to visit or to take your grandchildren to. Its gone downhill bigtime. Boarded up stores nasty parks I miss my old NYC. You need to vote the current mayor out ASAP because this cannot last for too much longer. IT IS KILLING THE TOURIST TRADE.
