I have recently jumped ship from being a pre tribber. When people would speak of the rapture I would get an uneasy feeling in my gut. The more I would pray and ask for direction and God started leading me to research and to discern for myself, not what others were saying. I now firmly believe that we must endure not escape. Jesus endured the cross for us, so we must endure til the end for him. He never said it would be easy but that he would be with us til the end. I’ve also learned that the West is the only ones that believe in a rapture. Either way I’m ready to meet Jesus, but I’m prepared to endure if it comes to it as well.

Born again Christians don't even have to worry about the Mark of the beast because the antichrist can not come as long as the wonderful Restrainer, the HOLY SPIRIT is still here. @albertafarmer8638 what does that have to do with Daniel 9? Let's first focus on Daniel 9 before you start cutting and pasting a whole bunch of verses together that you misinterpret. 70 sevens are 70 sabbatical cycles, 490 Jewish lunar-solar years. We know this because, LET'S START AT THE TOP OF THE CHAPTER, NOT THE BOTTOM, Daniel is praying about the 70 years of desolation spoken of by Jeremiah the prophet. This is because the jews did not follow what is outlined in Leviticus 25, 26. 483 Jewish years, from 458/457 bc to 26ad/27ad is 483 lunar-solar Jewish years based on their religious calendar. They would go by NO OTHER CALENDAR. Most people will agree Jesus got crucified somewhere between 26ad/27ad to 33ad/34ad I allow for a variant of 1 year because I know many argue heavily over those two dates. Nothing else matches the decree of artaxerxes decree in his 7th year, which was 458/457 bc. All the other decrees make the prophecy start too soon or end too late. I did debates on this, and I posted the last one I did. I would be willing to debate anyone in this if you think you know what you are talking about.

THE PRE TRIB RAPTURE IS TOO OBVIOUS NOBODY LEFT ON EARTH WOULD QUESTION ANYTHING

Interesting take. I still hold to a PreTrib rapture. 1. Because in the days of Noah they were living life as usual before the flood. Rev 6 will be so bad there will no longer be any life as usual. Same with the days of Lot... life as usual, then calamity struck. I do believe Christ is coming to rescue his bride before the great tribulation. 2.The tribulation will be a time of God pouring out His Wrath or anger upon the Earth. God is not angry with me. I am worthy because of the work of Christ, to escape all these things. 3.Telling me that I will have to endure the great tribulation gives me no comfort. How can you comfort me with these words if you are telling me I will have to see most of the world be destroyed? All that to say, If you are a believer, we can talk about it more during the 1000 year reign. As for me, I'm going to meet Him in the air and go back home with Him, like Elijah and Enoch.

I was a Sunday School teacher and the end-times came up in our studies. I taught from the Assembly of God material and saw it as convoluted. At that point I began my own study of WHAT JESUS SAID and history. There is no indication in the Bible that there will be a 3rd coming of Christ, so He is only coming back to mete out justice. When He does, 1Thess. 4:13-17 will be fulfilled. All people will receive immortal bodies when Jesus returns. Some will live forever with Jesus and some will not, period.

No one saw Him go, nor did they see Him return. Who saw Him during the 40 days following His resurrection? Did the Romans and members of Sanhedrin who had Him crucified see Him? Without this Faith through His Blood, the believer will go through the Tribulation. So when you soon realize that you missed the Rapture of the Church, you will understand that you are a "left behind" and therefore all that will be left is your sacrifice for Jesus Christ to save you. ...it will be a return to parsha A'harei-Mot... you will be the sacrificed scapegoat and Israel the protected scapegoat in the desert. We must trust in the Blood of Jesus Christ because He shed His BLOOD for us, as the Lamb of GOD. It was freely provided by the Father, to take away the sin of the world. It is the Promise of GOD, made to Adam then to Abraham finally to Israel through Moshe... concerning the destruction of death by His VICTORY over sin on the Cross. We can only be justified by the BLOOD of CHRIST, the Lamb of GOD, freely provided to us by GOD The Father to take away the sin of the world. For it is only through His Pure Blood shed on the Seat of Divine Mercy, which is the Ark of the Covenant, that we obtain GOD's Pardon for eternal life in His beloved Son JESUS CHRIST. The Church will be raptured in a few days, Tuesday June 4, 2024 for the dead in Christ and Wednesday June 5, 2024 for the living. You will be happy to know through my comment above what remains for you to accomplish to have eternal life.... DIE FOR CHRIST AND YOU WILL BE SAVED... but only for the "left behind" therefore after the Rapture of the Church. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I stopped believing in the pre-trib Rapture when I read the Bible for myself with the Holy Spirit teaching instead of listening to men. Jesus clearly says the tares go first. Matthew 13:30 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. John 17:15 “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”

First of all, in the Gospels Jesus is speaking to the Jews. The Rapture wasn't revealed until years later to Paul. Paul was sent to the Gentiles. Now, you were talking about the tares. This will take place at the end of the age when Jesus will separate the sheep from the goats. The Rapture wasn't invented; it was revealed to Paul. Paul told the Thessalonians not to become unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us(him), saying that the Day of the Lord had already come. Why would they think they missed it? Because they were expecting the Rapture that Paul had told them about. Because when Jesus comes the Bible says that every eye will see Him. So if the Thessalonians thought they missed the Day of the Lord(the Rapture), than it's obvious that is exactly what they thinking. I mean, wouldn't you be alarmed and easily unsettled if you thought you missed the Rapture? (Day of the Lord).

Paul said,"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing(falling away) first, and that man of sin be revealed (2Thess.2:3). 1599 Geneva Bible Version. Departure is also in Tyndale's Bible Version, Coverdale Version, Cranmer Version, and Beza's translation, all these are from the sixteenth century, and render the term "departing". It is therefore suggested the possibility of rendering 2Thess.2:3 to the effect that the departure must "come first", the Rapture of the Church must occur before the man of sin is revealed.

@@luisgarcia943 That falling away is referring to people's faith being shaken (That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us)...the falling away is going to happen to believers who seeing all the horrific events unfolding during the tribulation, fall away from the faith. Paul is trying to give them hope to remain faithful because the world will be plunged into total lawlessness. Do you have such little faith that YHWH-God will be our greatest hope to every living soul during the tribulation. To testify to the many who are going to perish? I started researching and found "taken", "snared", is used when referring to sin and wicked. Then "left behind" was righteous. Same words during Noah's day that Jesus spoke. Jesus also told us to endure. Why would I need to endure if I'm going to be ruptured? The Diciples had to endure. I'm not even in the same category as they so I shouldn't get special treatment.

Exactly, I used to believe in the rapture but constantly you keep seeing God coming down to dwell with his people. Just like in the temple and just like the incarnation. The reverse would be like the tower of Babel. In Matthew 24:39 those that were taken away were like the wicked in the flood and the ones left behind were the righteous. I feel like the rapture is fueled also by pride. "As long as I'm perfect and don't sin, I'll be rapture ready" but by that standard you're never ready and you're suggesting you don't need a savior.

My Southern Baptist mother believes the (secret) Rapture *is* her "Blessed Hope," and not the Resurrection from the Dead that Christ became the First Fruits of. It's like she fears persecution so much (PTSD) that she *needs* to believe the Rapture is any day now in order to function normally in life. Every day, she's "studying" astrology charts using every ounce of her confirmation bias to find a modicum of meaning in how the sky matches some obscure Jewish feast description or biblical passage. In short, it's a mental disorder, and it's sad to see. She's clearly intelligent, but because she was raised on this belief, she can't accept Orthodoxy or Catholic doctrine that spans back a millenia and a half. No, somehow she believes the Church Fathers *and* the Apostles believed Christ would whisk them off into the air at any moment, *but for some reason,* they spread the Gospel unto death with the vehemence that only a Saint could have.. I guess my point here is that most often, this false Rapture doctrine deters one from living like Christ and uniting as a Church family because, *at any given moment in your life,* God's gonna break you outta the Matrix, so to speak. In short, it's religious escapism.

@ChristAliveForevermore You wrote, "My Southern Baptist mother..." Are you implying that everyone who believes in the catching up of the Saints to meet the Lord in the air is like your Mom? "Taken up" is the term used in the Douay-Rheims to translate the Greek "Harpazo" and from that to the Latin Vulgate "rapiemur" from which the term "rapture" comes from. The word harpazo (ἁρπάζω, 726), means “to snatch or catch away,” This verb conveys the idea of force suddenly exercised, “take (it) by force” “snatcheth” a word Paul uses to describe an event which is to come. Philip was "snatched" from the presence of the Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:39) ~

2Th2 proves the rapture: I recommend you listen to a real bible teacher. Why do you think the sound teachings of the rapture are attacked so viciously - because they are Christ's teachings. The less people know of the rapture, the more people will fall for the deception when the rapture has taken place. That's why all true christians should shout out the rapture to everyone they know: 'When I'm suddenly gone, together with many others, know that it's Jesus and not an alien force from other galaxies. And please then, when you've experienced the departure of so many, repent and become a follower of Jesus in order to be able enter His kingdom when He returns and not go to the other place.'

In 1976, when I was 13 years old, I had a wide awake, real, in full color VISION of the Lord's Return... We lived out in the country in the middle of dusty plowed fields, dirt roads and woods in south Georgia. Everything looked kind of brown and crispy, like it needed rain bad. The corn field across the road in front of the house was starting to turn brown and die. I went to my bedroom, which faced out the front side of the house and looked out onto our front yard, which had a semi-circular dirt driveway and beside the left entrance was an old dogwood tree which had to be at least a hundred years old. Highway 341 ran from east to west in front of our house, which faced north, and the cornfield I spoke of earlier was on the other side of the highway. There was a slight rise in the middle of this field and you could not see the trees on the other side, so it looked like an ocean of corn that went off into the horizon. As I lay across my bed looking out the window, contemplating what I saw before me, I began to hear music in the distance. I specifically heard it in my right ear and the direction from which it came made me think of the high school band which practiced several miles southeast from where I lived. When conditions were right we could hear the band playing, but usually only heard the faint beat of drums. This sounded like trumpets and as I was thinking this to myself, I began to notice the music getting louder and louder, coming closer and closer, very quickly. Within a few seconds the sound wasn't just something that was exterior, but it was inside my head as well, reverberating throughout my entire body. It was so loud and it sounded like lightning crashed directly over my head and, in that split second, the trumpet sound thundered throughout my body and throughout the entire world...everything went dark and my bed and the earth shook violently. In a flash, I was no longer lying on my bed, but I was standing outside my bedroom window in the front yard and I beheld the scene in front of me with tremendous awe. It was still my front yard, only now everything was different. It seemed as if my entire range of vision was a huge 3D movie screen and I was in the middle of it. The trumpets continued to sound and I saw that the blue, sunny sky had turned black and the clouds churned and the wind blew with a violence that I had never experienced. The corn field was now a sea of wheat that was golden brown and ripe for harvest and I could see every stalk of wheat individually, billions of them. And I watched as the wind thrashed the wheat until it was beaten down by the storm. I now know that the Bible speaks several times about, in the end time, when the wheat is ripe for harvest, how the wheat will be separated from the tares. The tares are gathered and bundled together for burning and the wheat is gathered into the barn. Then I noticed the dogwood tree. It was mid-July, so of course I know there should not have been any blossoms on it, they usually bloom around Easter...but the tree was in full bloom. I had never seen anything like this. You couldn't see any leaves on the tree because of the millions of dogwood blossoms. It looked as if it were lit from within, by a glowing whitest of white, neon light and it glowed gloriously against the darkened sky. Now, I know the Bible says no man knows the day nor hour that Jesus will return, but if we watch for the signs, we can know the season. I have always felt that He might come back in the spring when the dogwood tree is in bloom. Of all the things that could have been highlighted in a vision; why the dogwood tree? I believe there is a specific message here. (Update: recently, I prayed about this and I feel the Lord placed into my spirit that this represents the fullness of the gentiles coming in). Just as I was taking all of this in, lightning filled the sky and the trumpets thundered over head again and in an instant there appeared two angels. They were dressed in white robes, facing each other up in the air and blowing golden trumpets. They were huge and filled the sky in front of me and I knew that the entire world must be seeing this as well. When I say huge, I mean like the size of the highest mountains, literally. I didn't think the trumpets could get any louder, but they grew louder still, building to a great crescendo and I heard a great shout that was louder than anything that you could imagine. And with that shout, it's as if the earth fell silent, the black, violent clouds began to roll back onto themselves from the center of the northeastern sky and I saw light in the distance. It was more a combination of light and clearing of the clouds in the distance that got my attention. As I looked up at this shaft of light and clearing sky, I saw what seemed to be fluttering and movement in the distance. As it came into view, I saw Jesus on a white horse and behind him were millions of angels and saints on white horses. It was at this moment, when I realized what I was seeing, that it disappeared and I was back in my room lying on my bed. Everything was back to normal and I was again looking out at a bright, sunny day.

His arguments were so convincing and as I further studied the scriptures and read another book by Hank Hanegraf called the Apocalypse Code, I abandoned the dispensational position. I still am not sure what eschatological camp I would put myself in, all I know is that He is coming again! Lots of interesting theories out there though.

StealthFlight, The disturbing history of the pre-trib rapture doctrine was faked. A Jesuit didn't invent Futurism because Jesus taught it when he warned everyone about the future end times. And those prophecies haven't been fulfilled yet, so Jesus’ Futurists teaching is still valid. Another Jesuit, who they claim invented the pre-trib rapture, actually described a post-trib rapture. And the Scottish woman who they claim got the pre-trib from voices, actually also said the church goes through the great tribulation to be tested by the Antichrist.

Actually, the Rapture theology originating with Darby is false. Look up Soothkeep (Lee Brainard) on YT. He has a lot of evidence that a pre-Tribulation Rapture view was held by early church fathers. The number of people or type believing a view does not make it false. The point of the Tribulation is that a remnant of unbelieving Israel comes to faith and declares “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD” at the 2nd Coming. This is why Israel’s rebirth as a nation in 1948 and current persecution which ramped up in Oct. 7 is a sign of the times. The church is already wed to Christ and will be in heaven during Daniel’s 70th week. Daniel was told in 9:24 that 70 weeks were determined for “his people” (Jews) and the 70th Week of Daniel is that final 7 years on God’s clock for the original chosen nation to come to faith. Research the 70th Week of Daniel. BTW, they will not all come to faith, but a remnant will. A remnant will be changed from Jacob (unbelieving state) to Israel (wrestled with the Angel of the LORD or pre-incarnate Christ & prevailed). God always preserves a remnant. This is why Romans 11:26 says “All Israel will be saved” and not “All Jacob will be saved”. Blessings!

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.

@@artcarlson3581 New Covenant Whole Gospel: Can you honestly answer the first three questions below? Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The primary Scripture passage on the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. The rapture is God’s removing of His people from the earth. A few verses later, in 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Paul says, “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The book of Revelation, which deals primarily with the time period of the tribulation, is a prophetic message of how God will pour out His wrath upon the earth during the tribulation. It seems inconsistent for God to promise believers that they will not suffer wrath and then leave them on the earth to suffer through the wrath of the tribulation. The fact that God promises to deliver Christians from wrath shortly after promising to remove His people from the earth seems to link those two events together. Another crucial passage on the timing of the rapture is Revelation 3:10, in which Christ promises to deliver believers from the “hour of trial” that is going to come upon the earth. This could mean two things. Either Christ will protect believers in the midst of the trials, or He will deliver believers out of the trials. Both are valid meanings of the Greek word translated “from.” However, it is important to recognize what believers are promised to be kept from. It is not just the trial, but the “hour” of trial. Christ is promising to keep believers from the very time period that contains the trials, namely the tribulation. The purpose of the tribulation, the purpose of the rapture, the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 5:9, and the interpretation of Revelation 3:10 all give clear support to the pre-tribulational position. If the Bible is interpreted literally and consistently, the pre-tribulational position is the most biblically-based interpretation.

Anyone can spend 2 minutes google this and see Pe trib rapture was around over 1000 years before John Darby and millions of Christians world wide who never heard of Darby can clearly see evidence for a pre trib rapture in the Bible. You lose credibility when you you start screaming Darby. No one today believe in pre trib because of a little know man who died over a century ago, they believe in it because they see it in the scriptures. Yes, the antichrist cannot be revealed until the restrainer is removed. (Holy Spirit in the true Church). Once the rapture occurs, the antichrist will be revealed and the 3rd Temple will be built to begin animal sacrifices again. But here is the hidden prophecy given by Isaiah 700 years before the LORD was born in Bethlehem! Exact TIMELINE to the RAPTURE as given by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 1 Corinthians 15:50-53 which simply means we CANNOT go into Heaven with mortal bodies. This is why when GOD comes for us He brings with Him those spirits of them that sleep in Jesus, (1 Thess. 4:14) so they can RESURRECT with PERFECT BODIES that will then be caught UP to the place the LORD is waiting for us, to usher us into Heaven to our Chambers-Mansions He went to prepare for us, so we can remain there UNTIL THE INDIGNATION IS PAST. (GOD's JUDGMENT UPON the EARTH! (7 year Tribulation/Great Tribulation) Isaiah 26:19-21 v. 19 - Resurrection of believers Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead. v. 20 - The Rapture COME, my people, enter your chambers, (John 14:2-3) And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. v. 21 - Tribulation Begins on earth. For behold, the Lord comes out of His place To PUNISH the inhabitants OF THE EARTH for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain. So please, make sure the Holy Spirit is leading you to ALL TRUTH and not THEOLOGY!

However, I realize that just because the Rapture doctrine is not true does not mean Christ's return isn't, and that it will happen eventually, quite possibly cutting time shorter than we might imagine. All of Israel's end time prophecy was canceled at Acts 28:28-31 KJV when they were let go by God permanently so all of those warnings and threats of hellfire, etc., disappeared with their kingdom promises. After he let Israel go as a nation, God turned to the whole world and held out a free gift, Ephesians 2:8 & 9 KJV, for the taking by anyone that wants eternal life. The ones that have been hiding the fact that Israel as a nation will never again be God's people are the very ones that get a lot of political and monetary benefits from keeping that fable going! Our end time prophecy is Colossians 3:4 and 1:13 KJV - definitely gonna be great!

The biggest mistake that No rapture people make is mixing when scripture is for the Church or for when it is directed at disobedient Israel. If you mix the two you get a real mess. Israel and the Church are not the same and scripture clearly separates events particularly to their futures.

The church i grew up in was obsessed with the end times, us kids were terrified of it, growing up with nightmares about being left behind. Which gets caught up with trying to behave right out of fear, instead of having God change us from the Inside out, so we are obedient out of love and knowing what He wants for us isn't out of guilt and shame, but because He wants us to have an over abundance of blessing and what he has for us is always better then what we plan. I can relate with the not even knowing we had an option to opt out of rapture theology, until 12 years ago when I found out its not biblical & the scriptures to support it, didn't even sound like what I was always told it was gonna be. The more I built my own relationship with Jesus and stopped just listening to other Christian's I realized how backwards we get it. We go to others, who do the same thing instead of going to the source. I now understand it more, because there's alot of Pastors that got real comfortable in their role in the church, they forgot Jesus is the head not them. Not all of them but alot. I got excited to understand how much scripture is taken out of context and to start walking in truth not allowing anyone to weaponize scripture and use it to manipulate me. So it was a real wake up call to all of a sudden have my church family turn on me, the more I discovered freedom all these things I was being told I was getting but I was miserable and didn't know the 1st thing about grace or love. And definitely not about the resurrection. Read 1 Corinthians 15 the whole chapter out of the message and I pray God reveals what He showed me, because it's even better then I ever imagined, and He lead me to your video to show me my little family isn't alone, and to share the excitement of our future hope with Heaven on Earth. It's our own personal Eden with Jesus by our side as we honor our Father together. And so much more then anything.... I hope you respond when you see what I'm talking about

Jesus told his disciples if they persecute you in one city flee to the next. When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies flee to the hills. He told Paul in the temple to flee because the Jews won't listen to him. Fleeing is not spoken against in the Bible. David fleed Saul. Elijah fleed Jezzabel. I disagree that Noah was left behind, it was Noah who was floating above the surface of the waters which was the means of God's wrath against the wicked. The wicked were left behind and were distoryed in the flood. Lot was taken out of the cities and those who remained were distoyed when the wrath of God fell on the wicked. In Acts 1 Jesus bodily arose into heaven. Only the disciples saw Him. There is no report of every eye on earth seeing Him ascend. Then the angel said the same way you have seen Him ascend He will return. ?could that mean a return for his own? Just as the ark was filled then the Lord shut the door, before the flood started could this be the same. The rapture then the door, in heaven, is shut. Just as Jesus is now in heaven with a resurrected body so the church could be bodily resurrected and wait in heaven, until the Christ and the bride are revealed to the earth. All creation eagerily awaits the revealing of the sons of God. While the door is shut the bowls of wrath are poured unto the inhabitants of the earth.. then the Lord along with his church return to rule on the earth. At that point every eye will see Him.

I was raised w/ dispensationalist beliefs as well. When you're raised w/an idea it becomes second nature to read that idea into the text of scripture. Then, in order to be successful with exegesis, you have to be intentional with reading the text itself so that those ideas don't manifest automatically. Then ask "does this idea come out of scripture or are we trying to place this idea into scripture?" I read 1 Thes 4 as entirely compatible with the Second Coming, or the parousia. Nothing in the text differentiates that event from other passages that most would concur describe the parousia (e.g. 1 Cor 15). So why read a novel event into it? All the other end times verses seem compatible with a "parousia only" view as well, so if we wish to be parsimonious there's no need to add rapture to parousia to interpret scripture.

My story is much like yours. I believed the rapture (dispensational) view of prophecy most of my life. I believed it because that’s all I was ever taught, and I did not know enough to challenge it, nor did I even know that I could challenge it. After getting interested into studying the Bible to validate my beliefs for myself, I found that my view of prophecy was COMPLETELY wrong. It was a journey, I am still working it all out, but I had to let go of all the things I had always known. I now hold a preterist view of prophecy and I am confident that my beliefs are Biblical. EVERY Christian should study the Bible and know it for themselves. We are all accountable to God to know Him and HIs word. Most Christians DO NOT do this, I was one of them... NEVER again. I hope you’ll give some consideration to the idea that Israel’s prophecy was simply canceled and a dispensation of Gentile grace commenced until Christ appears (Colossians 3:4 KJV) and receives his inheritance from his Father - the earth restored to its original glory, the “kingdom of his dear Son,” Colossians 1:13 KJV; and all the faithful saints of time past and believers that are “in Christ” by faith become the “one new man,” of Ephesians 2:15 KJV that will live there forever with him.

@@dfkuz As I said in my first response a month ago, I used to believe in the dispensation view of prophecy. Then I learned how wrong I really was. Even though it NEVER made sense to me, I believed because that’s all I’d ever heard. But the truth is, this is one of the biggest lies of our time in Christian movements. There is NO distinction between Israel and the church… PERIOD. The only distinction we see in scripture is between Jews and Gentiles/Greeks. But that distinction was dissolved by the work of Jesus Christ. There is no "gentile age" or "Church age" that will end soon. He's Kingdom is forever. He put an end to the wall between Jews and Gentiles. In Christ WE ARE ALL THE SAME: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:28-29) Israel’s prophecies WERE NOT canceled or postponed… they were completely fulfilled in the work of Jesus Christ in that very generation. And He came back in the first Century in that time… just as He said He would.

Oh my, there is a 3 part rapture! There is a pretrib rapture dear believer but not all those that believe in pretrib will go in pretrib. The Philadelphian saints are the church of BROTHERLY LOVE. The bride wants all saints to be harvested with the barley company at pretrib. The bulk of the church will reject the bridal calling. Believers will go to heaven when they are ready to be harvested. The crop must be ready before it can be harvested. Barley and wheat are both grain companies that are both planted at the same time, in the autumn. Barley matures faster than wheat and is harvested in the spring. BARLEY IS THE BRIDE, and she leaves at pretrib. Wheat is harvested in the summer. Wheat is the great multitude church gathered in Rev 7..... THE VIRGINS WITHOUT NUMBER AKA THE INNUMERABLE COMPANY! The final company, caught up at midtrib, before the open door is shut, are the grapes that are gathered at midtrib. The grapes are the 144,000 Jews. The Jews finally believe Christ is their king because they gleaned the truth from the Barley and wheat companies. If there is a LAST TRUMP, there is a FIRST TRUMP. If there is a high calling, there is a lesser calling. The bridal remnant will be a joint heir as husband and wife. The bulk of the church will be only heirs as children. The barley bride is taken up in Rev 4 at pretrib, where he tells John, "COME UP HERE!". This is a very small remnant of the church that leaves at pretrib. All christians are called for this HIGH AND HEAVENLY CALLING, but few will be chosen. The bulk of the church is in a DEEP SLEEP like Adam. While Adam ( the church) slept, God was forming a bride from a rib ((TAKEN OUT OF)) Adam. This is a rib portion, a very small remnant that makes up this bridal company. The bulk of the church has spots and wrinkles in their robes that will be cleaned in the first part of the tribulation period. How do they have wrinkles in their robes? They are in a deep sleep! When you're lying down in these robes, they get wrinkled. They have spots because of false doctrines. There is a pretrib rapture, and the bulk of the church, like yourself, will reject the truth. The Lord will use this bridal remnant to speak in these last days. This remnant will be a mouthpiece unto God. She will be rejected by the church and the world before she departs. Hebrews 12:25 [25]See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Isaiah 1:9 [9]Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. The truth will get many angry. It will be a stark contrast of things you learned your entire life! The verse about John being caught up at pretrib is only one verse, brother. The Lord has it beautifully woven from the Old to the New Testament. We will go to heaven by ranks, just as Paul said. 1 Corinthians 15:23 [23]But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. ORDER MEANS RANKS. ●●●There are 3 stories on Noah's ark for the 3 companies escaping through the open door by rank and order. Go read it! The world taught us, as a child, that the ark was loaded by 2's. The truth is they first loaded by 7's then by 2's!!! Genesis 7:2 [2]Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. ●●● When Peter had the vision of the fitted sheet with all manner of beasts inside. These are saints from the 4 corners of the earth of every nation and tongue. He saw this sheet come down THRICE....3 TIMES FOR 3 COMPANIES OF BELIEVERS!! ●●● 3 companies of people will be caught up by ranks before the middle of the week....BARLEY, WHEAT, AND GRAPES. The barley company is the ONLY COMPANY that is harvested by WINNOWING. All the remaining companies need a threshing floor of tribulation to do a finishing work before they are caught up. The wheat is CRUSHED by the tribullum board, grapes are TREAD, and olives are PRESSED on the threshing floor of tribulation. ●●● There will be 3 companies of light. He is the LIGHT, and as we take in his Word, we become light. The more we consume, the brighter we become. We decrease, and he increases! The 3 light companies are Sun glory saints, moon glory saints, and star glory saints. Those bridal sun glory saints SHINE WHILE IT IS STILL DAYTIME! Do I need to ask you when the moon and stars shine?!? The moon and star glory saints shine during the night season of tribulation. There is so much more. This is only a glimpse of what is in the Word regarding a 3 part harvest.

The verses that I found the most difficult to let go of the pre-millennial view though, is Matthew 24:40-41 ...one taken and the other left (2 examples given). Really, that passage is the under-pinning thesis of A Thief In The Night series and The Left Behind series. I haven't actually seen The left behind movies, after so many views of A thief in the Night and sequels. (Surely someone remembers the theme song to A Thief In The Night was: I Wish We'd All Been Ready by the late, great Larry Norman). These two verses are fundamentally (and crucially) Rapture verses. So, what did Jesus mean when He said: Two men in a field, one is taken and one is left, two women grinding with a hand mill, one is taken and one is left?

PHIL I know my answer will upset some of my fellow pre-tribbers but my understanding of Matt 24:40-41 is that Jesus was clearly not talking about a rapture here but a taking away in Judgement I believe the parallel account in Luke? says where Lord? and adds where the corpse is there the vultures will gather. Those left alive wil populate the New Kingdom.. The rapture of the Church is in no way the topic in the Mount Of Olives for reasons very easily found for the Fact that Jesus did not speak of it because the Deciples never asked about it as they were overwhelmed about the coming destruction and the end of THIER Age. Jesus was clearly answering Jewish questions about Jewish things the temple , Jerusalem, and up coming disaster in Israel. The Church was not the topic. Now don't just poo hoo this. If you separate the dealings with the Church which did not exsist yet and the railing that Jesus had just given the Jewish nation for their rejection it makes perfect sense. Pre-trib stands on previous clear scripture Jesus was not speaking to the Church he was talking to Jewish men who were still in the Dark about the Church. They still believed that Jesus was going to return as some kind of General King with an Army and free Israel from Roman occupation not a religious leader. Please just for a moment review the writings of Matt as in these chapters about the second coming as what it is Jesus coming to rescue a remnant of Israel who survive the Great Tribulation period that was promised to the Nation Israel so that they could call on him whom THEY pierced so that Jesus could return. He cannot return until they acknowledge Jesus. He will return and set up the Kingdom he promised them The Church had been previously raptured before the time of JACOBS trouble. God was not angry with his church so there is no reason for the Church to be present for the tribulation. The Bible makes perfect sense when you understand who Jesus was speaking and what the topic was. Not everything pertains directly to you or the Church. Please try and look at Matt 24 thru Jewish lenses and you will see scripture differently. God bless those with eyes and ears ready to hear truth. I'm not claiming to be without error just asking for understanding that a fresh look may pay you dividends and answer many questions. Mranatha and thank You

Thank you for this...there is not much regarding this. From the moment I was saved at 14 years old I prayed and asked God please do not let me be here in end times. I had so much hope for the rapture. Asking God please let me be one of the ones that is taken. At 58 years old and seeing what is currently playing out in the world and be so heart broken over it all; once again I have been asking God please take me I do not want to be here for this. I simply do not feel strong enough to overcome what is bound to happen to us Christians. Never the less I have recently found on one of the Christian book reviews a comment stating with a link discussing why there will be no rapture and it was something that was created to further confuse us Christians with false teaching. I did go on to understand more only to have had something happen during that time I was studying ...lost the link. When I went back to look it was no longer there nor was it in m history. Ever since than I have been looking to understand truth. I was saved at 14 but it took until I was 56 to really understand even if I was saved I wasn't promised as I continued to live against Gods commands. I also did no read my bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus/God. All this to say I am still learning, and I must say now struggling with this thought. As it means I will possibly have to be here when it all goes down and that scares me. I have read an understood the terrible deaths of believers and followers in Christ from the apostles. I am not also seeing how evil this world truly is and there will be no mercy for us as Christians and true lovers of God's word and God. I am scared.

Read the writings of the very early Church Fathers. Particularly read about Saint Polycarp, who went to his death with humble dignity in the Roman Colosseum. He prayed for 3 hours for the sake of his captors before they took him to Rome. Read about how Saint Paul the Apostle handled persecution. Read about Saint Iraneaus' persecution. My brother in Christ, these times ARE difficult, and we should *naturally* be scared and dismayed, but our hope *IS NOT OF THIS WORLD!* If we face our own deaths, we do so with the promise given by our Father in Heaven through His Son Jesus Christ in mind! We will be better than fine afterward! Proclaim the greatness of God in the midst of your travail and find your rewards in heaven to be magnified 100-fold! Christ be with you ❤

Good points here-thanks for your perspective. When I read or have read the Thessalonians text in the past I just didn’t “see” a rapture there at all. I’ve always felt Paul was talking about the 2nd coming here. When presented with this text as “justifying” or explaining the doctrine of the rapture, I just felt “it’s a stretch.” Folks will believe what their itching ears want to believe. Another reason I have found it difficult to accept the rapture is that such an event would lead to massive chaos and that is simply inconsistent with the view of God as presented in the Bible. And lastly it’s been the dominant theme of the Bible that we must go through times of trial & tribulation not be whisked away. Instead the Bible tells us to trust & depend on the providence of God. Again I simply don’t see a rapture as a biblical alternative to human trials. In Jesus’s Olivet discourse we hear of no such view & and I think if the rapture was to occur, surely our Lord would have told us…. Those are my reasons for not accepting the rapture. 😅

the only thing that define rapture is in the revelation. but not as what we all know about ascending in heaven. it is the mark of God that we all will be safe/save from the wrath of God when the final person will take the mark of God. both mark of the beast and mark of God will give to us. its like taking the blue pill or the red pill kinda scenario where you gonna have a choice to accept the beast or God. the choice is not easy. like in revelation if you take the mark of the beast you can buy and sell. while taking and acepting Gods mark will make you suffer here in this world. we dont know how long we will suffer because it is the test for us how we really Love God. for rich or poor, for sickness and in health if we can endure it then we are save from wrath of God when the 7 seal will start opening one by one.

Rapture is a pipe dream, a fable created by protestant churches to mislead people along the broad way to destruction (Matt 7:13-15). Our Lord said, "Whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me (Matt 10:38). No slave is greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you (John 15:20). Particularly Our Lord said, "If those days had not been shortened, no one would be saved. But, for the sake of the elect, they will be shortened." If the rapture is true, why is there a need to shorten the days? Catechism #675 and 677 of the Catholic Church state that, before the second coming of Christ, the Church MUST follow Her Lord to Calvary, Death, and Resurrection for purification and renewal of the Church and world. The fulfillment of this Dogma is here, as we are now living through the prophesied events in 2 Thes 2:1-12 and the mystery of the iniquity (2 Thes 2:7) -- that's why we have had two popes (one True -- Benedict XVI; and the other false, as seen in the vision of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich and prophesied by St. Francis of Assisi, non-canonically elected and destroyer), and great apostasy (2 Thes 2:3) in the Church. God never allows anything to happen before revealing them through his prophets (Amos 3:7) so that His faithful ones may be prepared for the events. With the passing of Benedict XVI (on 12/31/2022), the restrainer, Katechon, has been removed and, therefore, the antichrist will soon appear in public (2 Thes 2:7-8), who will be the head of the 1 world religion, followed by schism after the denial of real presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist by a false pope, banning of the daily Sacrifice of the Mass (Daniel 12:11), abomination of desolation (Matt 24:15), and fiercest persecutions of the Church (Rev 12:17, 13:10) for 3.5 years (Daniel 12:11-12, Rev 12:14). But God will protect His Church as promised in Matt 16:18, "the gates of Hell shall not prevail against Her" and His faithful remnants (Ps 91). All prophecies of the end times will be fulfilled as written in our generation. After the Schism, the Church will elect the last pope in St. Malachy's prophecy, 'Peter, the Roman', who will lead the Church through the Antichrist's persecutions, during which the Church will go underground, like the early Church during the Roman persecutions. All prophecies related to the end times in both Old and New testaments are about the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church Church, Our Lord founded (Matt 16:18-19). They have nothing to do with protestant churches which are false ones. Why follow wolves in sheep's clothing and risk your eternal salvation? Come to His Only Church, His Only Sheepfold (John 10:16), so that you may hear His Voice, truly know and follow Him and be saved (John 10:27-28)? Please come quickly and be among His faithful remnant before it is too late! May God open your eyes, bless you, and lead you to Him. Amen!

Actually those passages and most everything in the synoptic Gospels and the last (everything except when Jesus is speaking to the Churches in the very first part) of Revelation is NOT for the Church. (The Bride) It's for those left behind by the rapture and mostly for the Tribes of Israel -- which once again becomes the main thing after the Church is removed by the Rapture. It's a different (final earthly) dispensation, with it's own game plan and Star -- the Jewish people! If you really consider it, this is the best argument for a pre-tribulation Rapture. The Church must be removed so that God's chosen people can once again take the stage! Check out Les Feldick and Robert Breaker on Dispensational Eschatology. They are the best ones I have found that are still around that can explain it clearly and concisely, and neither is crazy, and unfortunately that's something you have to watch out for these days. Love to all and I can't wait to meet you! 🙏✝️👑✝️🙏

Interesting video and opinion... thanks for sharing it. I actually went the opposite direction. Over 20 years ago I came to Christ and for years I didn't buy into the rapture. But as I continued to study scripture daily, I got interested in the topic, prayed much about it, and devoted a portion of my study time to delving into this topic. I bought a book called, Revelation Four Views: A Parallel Commentary. I did a lot of study on Church history also... was surprised that there were actually many teachings on the premillennial and rapture view... however, because the church was dominated by Roman Catholic theology, and any variance from that would be stamped out pretty quick, which is why it did not have any footing to take off and be taught until after the reformation period, when there was freedom to study and develop true Bible doctrine without the threat of a dominant controlling Catholic priesthood. So going into Church history to prove a point that because the rapture wasn't widely taught or held doesn't prove anything... otherwise I could say the same for Salvation by faith alone, by grace alone, through Christ alone... etc. (the Solas)... because those weren't 'Popularized' until the reformers pushed back against the prevailing church of the time. Anyway... long story short, I've come down the road the other way... Now I'm absolutely convinced there is a rapture... based on 2 Thess. 4, John 14:2,3; 1Cor. 15:50-57. The only question should be on the timing of the rapture... in relation to the Tribulation period. I strongly lean to before... for many reasons, one of which is to distinguish the difference between Israel and the Body of Christ, the Church (Math. 16:18). Two completely separate programs in the plan of God. However both groups saved the same way, by grace through faith in the completeness of Jesus Christ to forgive sins. Anyway, thanks again for the video and to God be the Glory!

Interesting. I looked at the bible verses you quote (I assume you mean 1.tess 4 and not 2.tess 4) and I cant find anything telling me they are not talking about the ONE return of christ. Can you tell me why these verses point you to saying Jesus will come back in secret for his church before the rest of humanity? Nothing in these verses seem to indicate two returns of Christ.

What part of THE SECOND COMING, AT THE 7TH TRUMP, THE LAST TRUMP, GODS TRUMP, is hard for you to understand? THERE IS NOT A PRE, MID, OR POST RAPTURE. It is very contradictive in the sense that there are two trubulations, two advents. Otherwise you would have some explaining to do and lots of confusion, which in term, contradicts any rapture you would want to insert in to the scenario. Rapture has no article in Scripture for that same fact. If there was a pre trib or mid or post rapture, I would have most definitely read about it. Guess what? There's nothing on there about a secret rapture, a flying away event or anything of that sort. Old testament, new testament, Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek, it simply does not exist. The word of God cannot be subjective, otherwise salvation would be according to whatever you believe in and not what God says. Traditions of man will drive you away from the truth. That's exactly what they want you to do. Jesus is coming here to reign with us for 1000 years, also called the Lords day. You quoted 2 Thessalonians. Read with understanding. He specifically tells you the event that MUST happen before His SECOND (not third not fourth) COMING, at the 7th trump, not the 6th, the 7th trump. 1 Corinthians 15 nails it for you specifically. The catching away quoted in 1 Thessalonians 4 is practically refering to 1 Corinthians 15:52. It's a change of bodies, not a flying away. It happens VERY fast, in a twinkle of an eye, when? AT THE LAST TRUMP. Very simple.

Br. Matt, thank you for your conclusion and the willingness to express your conviction's concerning this topic. I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with this great eschatological topic and event. I myself wrestled with the very same issue for quite sometime. I've been a "Christian" 44 year's and a student of eschatology 42 of them. During these 42 year's I have observed the "Harpazo" doctrine passed around the "end times" table to great extent. I've watched as this would pass from one hand to another as it was shuffled around the table, only to be expressed by the next holder as, " Yupyup, this is it, it's set in stone now." One learns a few things over time as one seeks direction from "The HOLY SPIRIT" in humility. I'm sure as with all of us this is common in our sanctification experience. I've said all of this to take a moment to "sharpen iron with iron" with you, of course with your willingness and permission. And in doing so I would appreciate a response from you after you have researched the concept and content. Let me say up front by sending you this brief " treatise," I'm in no way an authority on this topic, but rather one who reaches for correct corresponding action's through " Text, co-text, content and witnesses". As I'm sure you are aware that most of our current explanations concerning this great event are contentious, by this I mean when one is held in view of another, divisions end in contention with each other. I'm very sure this is a point you once have had to reason with, as we all. Reasoning behind this is because we, "the Body of "CHRIST" have built and re-built on these shuffling's. Now gleaning from another's work isn't completely wrong, the "Apostle's and the early Church Father's" did as much. Yet, as long as men among us, or we ourselves continue to follow our own reasonings, "TRUTH' and correct exposition will always suffer. Reaching a non-contentious "Scriptural" answer is obtainable if one applies the hermeneutical principle's designed by "GOD." Once these laws are found, acquired, and understood, they reveal exposition as intended after the way "GOD" designed them to be. You have most likely heard the phrase, " GOD" doesn't dwell in a box." This just isn't hyperbole. Allow me now to put this concept together. "Scripture" of course will be foundational for our principle's in process. - The desire of "GOD" for our exegetical and expositional understanding. - # 1. - ( Deuteronomy 29: 29 )- " The secret things belong to the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." # 2. - ( Proverbs 25: 2 )- " It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter." # 3. - ( Isaiah 28: 9 ~ 10 ) - " Whom will he teach knowledge ? And whom will he instruct with a report ? Those weaned from milk ! Those drawn from the breast ! For his words are : Rule upon rule, rule upon rule : Here a little, there a little " # 4. - ( Gospel of John 8: 31 ~ 32 ) - " Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word , then you are truly my disciples. And you shall know the truth , and the truth shall make you free." The hermeneutical principle here that covers is, " God declares the " end from the beginning and the beginning from the end." The correct process to arrive at correct concept clarity, is to find the first " Scripture " reference where the " Chosen of " God " are delivered from "Divine" wrath, then follow it through to the " New Testament " corresponding reference's. " What one finds as a substantiated law must correspond to the " end to the beginning and the beginning to the end. " For me after many hours, months, and years of study, the only doctrine following correct exegesis and context is the " Pre-wrath " harpazo. I realize this may not be agreeable with you which is ok, I'm not trying to ruffle feathers in any way, after all that is what has got us where we are today. I only ask if you would check this out and respond to me with your thoughts. Thank you very much and until we greet and meet will see you here, there, or in the air. Covenant Blessings abide your way.

Thank you brother for sharing this, I did hear hints of Ben Witherington III in your message, to whom I subscribe to his view on the matter too. Your explanation is pretty much where I am, about 20 years ago I started to have doubts about the rapture, and then I heard a brother preach that it was a relatively new teaching that JN Darby taught back in the 1800s, all of which you shared here. I also believe that many try and use Matthew 24 to teach the rapture too, but you have to do a lot of scriptural gymnastics to get to any conclusion to support a rapture, quite simply it doesn't. In Matthew 24 the disciples get into a dialogue with Jesus about the temple, the end of the age and His coming "While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” In verse 4-35 Jesus explains in detail what would happen, and when we get to verses 36-41, here we have those verses where Jesus explains 36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." 37 "As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man." what happened in the days of Noah for Jesus to say AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH? We have to go to Genesis 6 and 7, and in these chapters, we have a detailed explanation of how God had enough of all humanity because all their hearts were full of wickedness, God commands Noah to build an ark and gives specific instructions, to which Noah follows to the letter, once all was done as God commanded, Noah and his family entered the ark, God sent the rains and the waters from the deep to burst forth and destroy His creation, ALL HUMANITY was destroyed as was all that had the breath of life in their nostrils, they were taken away in judgement and destroyed, to be no more, yet Noah and his family were left behind on the earth, and that is what Jesus meant, AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, God's judgement came in the waters that covered the earth and destroyed all life, except Noah and his family. Back to Matthew 24:38-41 "38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. 39And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left." the ones here who are left behind are believers, because those who are taken are taken for judgement, if you try and turn it the other way around, it makes no sense at all and contradicts what Jesus is saying here.

The idea that the Pre-trib rapture is a new invention has been pretty much been shown to be false. There are multiple documents and statements by earlier Christian writers that show it was not a new invention. The new invention idea still persists but is incorrect. An easy search will show the story is false. You have the One taken and One left correct and I aplaude you for your observation. Pre-trib is alive and well in the Christian Church. God Bless

Hi Linda, I was drawing on Ben Witherington's book The Problem with Evangelical Theology. He gets into the origins of rapture theories there. My understanding is that Scofield picked it up from Darby. By putting the theories into the Scofield Study Bible notes and paragraph headings, he significantly helped to popularize the whole rapture thing.

Linda Rarey, many people rediscovered Dispensationalism and the Rapture rescue not long after the Protestant Reformation because that’s when common people could finally touch Bibles again and read them in their own languages. In his book, “Dispensationalism Before Darby,” William Watson documents hundreds of sources from archives to support this. Sadly, those sources were not discovered by Dave MacPherson, a news reporter who embellished and marketed an old Darby conspiracy theory, and it was his poor scholarship that’s mushroomed into a common misconception that Darby and Margaret MacDonald were the sources for the Rapture doctrine.

This line of thinking, it seems, is most effective among those who were born into it, and were taught never to examine ideas critically. I wasn’t born into or reared in a church which taught rapture doctrine as an article of faith. I didn’t encounter it until I began working at a large Christian ministry when I was 19. Among those I met who held strongly to pre-tribulation rapture beliefs, all had been reared in it from youth. Interestingly enough, I encountered a few who abandoned their rapture views, but never any who acquired those views after having been raised in an environment where rapture thought was criticized or not accepted.

In the end, as always, it always comes down to unhappy people finding ways to boost their ego. Because someone has to be wrong for my ego to be right!!!! Religion is a pseudo self-esteem attachment (to use a Nathaniel Branden term). It's an attachment that you use to build your self-esteem, except that it is an invalid way to build your self-esteem, which is why it is "pseudo". There are all kinds of pseudo self-esteem attachments people use, whether it be religion, career, political affiliation, social groups or thinking that you are impressing people with your nice car that you just washed. Of course, if you are not being a prideful egomaniac about it, then feeling good about accomplishing things that you've worked for in your career is a VALID self-esteem attachment (though it doesn't make you better than others, of course that is debatable I suppose).

When I realized there were other ideas, I compared scriptures to other’s theology and found the partial preterist theology to be much stronger and clearer while the rapture argument was extremely weak with little scriptural support. 2- preterist theology was stronger on their argument concerning the tribulation while the rapture theology I learned was a long spaghetti string on verses from all over scripture to create a narrative that was still unsupported by scripture. If the tribulation was wrong then so was the rapture theology. 3- rapture theology made no sense in why rapture a specific amount of people from tribulation when the first century church suffered greatly during their time of tribulation to include those who were Martyred during the mid century. Worse, there is the re-imagining of simple historical narratives into eschatological "hints," (Ruth stops being about the bloodline of the Lord and the example of kinsman redeemer and becomes a "picture of a rapture.") And the extreme straw grasping of "john's DREAM was a rapture." And finally, out-right dishonest scholarship of "I FOUND pre-trib opinions in the early church fathers' writings" which turned out to a sentence here and there, ripped out of context. I used to believe in rapture until my son asked about the fact that in 1 Thessalonians there is a trumpet and shout of a archangel. We then started to read to see if the very first Christians believed in this and where this doctrine originated. Long short we not only was this not believed by the church until the late 1800s but we also found that the early Church was not at all protestants but Catholic. We are now very happy Catholic s and more in love with Jesus than ever before.

Hey my friend, that’s awesome that you’re doing your research, but Catholicism didn’t originate until a few hundred years after the apostles and first generation of Christians. Peter did not found any institutional church (the Catholics wrongfully assert he did), and even Protestant church assemblies are not only completely unbiblical, but completely pagan in origin. Read Pagan Christianity by Frank Viola; it is fully cited and meticulously documented. You might fear that this is some new age movement to deny the diety of Jesus or to pull his body apart (by causing division amongst believers), but it couldn’t be further from the truth. As I have gone from a fear based Protestant religion (modern conservative Christianity) to an actual friend and follower of Jesus, and experience his presence regularly, my faith has come alive and the good news is now actually good-experientially good-not just something I’m supposed to believe is good so I don’t go to hell. Like many, I’ve been waking up to the fact that we’ve been misled-dramatically so-but The Spirit is bringing the true bride (church) together in these days, that we might partner with Jesus in establishing his kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. If Christian’s would stop looking at the Bible like a magical book, and understand it is an accurate historical record, but that JESUS himself is the word of God-not the text itself-they might begin reading it in a way that doesn’t require them to turn off their critical thinking and begin to have their eyes opened and their hearts softened. God bless you in your journey-Lord knows it’s a continuous process for all of us, and not for the faint of heart!

Does it specify that an Antichrist will make a peace accord with Israel? Does it speak of an end times 3rd temple being rebuilt? Did the passage mention an Antichrist who will proclaim that he is god? Does it use the word “tribulation”? Did the passage mention the RAPTURE of the Church? The answer is NO, If you insist that the 70th week of Daniel has not been fulfilled, then read Daniel 9:24-27, and ask yourself these questions.During which week of the seventy-week prophecy did Messiah carry out his multiyear ministry? And in which week did He die for our sins? If you’re honest with the text, you’ll see that the only place for those events is in the 70th week. The enemy’s end times deception is based on the concept of a futuristic 70th week of Daniel. It causes people to look for an end times one-man Antichrist, the rapture and 3rd temple being rebuilt, instead of identifying the office of the papacy as the beast of Revelation, the Little Horn of Daniel and the Son of Perdition. This is the very reason that the end times 7 year tribulation deception was created by the Roman Catholic Church.

The Rapture comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 when the dead are raised first and those who are alive are “CAUGHT UP” together with them in the clouds. This getting caught up in the air or sometimes referred to as heaven is called “the rapture”. But if you ask me where did pre-tribulation rapture belief comes from? I would say that it comes from the people's fear of persecution, dying and experiencing the horrors of the tribulation which are written in Matthew and the book of Revelation. They are too fearful that they reject the truth and so they create this delusion in their own minds that the rapture has to be before the tribulation because they question why God allows suffering, persecution and even death to his saints. Psalm 116:15 says, 15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Precious why? Because they remain faithful until the end but those who shrink back, he has no pleasure in them(Hebrews 10:38).

I've been taught rapture theology for at least 50 years, and from the start, I saw it wasn't biblical. I chose rarely to debate it as I have nothing to lose if I'm wrong, contrary to what those who believe in a pre-trib rapture will experience if they're wrong (including, but not limited to, not recognizing the anti-Christ because they are under the assumption they will not be here when he's revealed). There were several points which clearly screamed out at me from Scriptures, a few of which include: "You": To whom is Jesus speaking throughout the 24th chapter of Matthew (as well as the parallel account in Mark 13 and similar passages in Luke 17 & 21)? The Lord is speaking to His disciples -- i.e. believers. Bearing that in mind, note that the Lord uses the word “you” numerous times throughout this discourse -- at least eleven times directly (verses 4, 9[2], 20, 23, 25, 26, 33, 34, 44, 47), and a few times indirectly just in the Matthew passages alone. The Lord speaks of “you” (believers) being delivered up to tribulation, “you” (believers) seeing the abomination of desolation, anyone saying to “you” (believers) that ‘Here is the Christ!’, etc. Likewise, in Mark 13:29: “…when you see these things happening…” Such would imply that believers will be present throughout, as the events described unfold. The elect: Of course, it was Matthew 24:15-22 which first made me think that I was being led astray by well-meaning, albeit biblically incorrect individuals about a rapture. The "elect" (eklektos) (Matt.24:22 -- for whose sake those days will be cut short) is used only 22 (23) times in the whole of the New Testament. In seven instances, the word is utilized in reference to this End Times prophecy. In all but four instances where this word is used in the New Testament it is always a reference to believers. The four exceptions are: I Tim. 5:21 (where it refers to “elect“ angels), and three references to Christ (Lk. 23:35, I Pet. 2:4, 6). As such, it should be ascertained from its use above (as well as in the subsequent End Times passages), that the elect (i.e. believers) are present on earth during the end times tribulation. Making war against the saints: (Dan. 7:21, 25; Rev. 13:7) It would again appear that the saints (a.k.a. elect) must still be on earth during these times in order to be persecuted. The coming of the Son of Man: The Greek phrase used for the coming of the Son of Man appears thrice in this discourse (verses 27, 37 and 39). In all three instances, the Greek is identical. (The phrasing is different in verse 30, as well as the accounts of both Mark 13:26 and Luke 21:27, which utilizes a different word: erchomai.) This would seem to indicate that the events described herein (the days of Noah) should be placed chronologically within the time-frame of the events depicted in proximity of verse 27's coming of the Son of Man. (see also Lk. 17: 26-27) The Lord referred to one "coming of the Son of Man" -- not two, or three or more. A great trumpet / the last trumpet: While there are seven trumpets mentioned in the 8th through 11th chapters of Revelation, I will omit discussion of the first six (Revelation 8:1 through 11:14), as these are not alluded to in the Lord‘s discourse from Matthew 24. However, given that the first six trumpets follow the previous cosmic occurrences (Rev. 6:12-14), but precede the seventh (or last ) trumpet (Rev. 11:15, I Cor. 15:51-52, I Thes. 4:15-17), it may be assumed that the events described from Revelation 8:1 through 11:14 occur between the cosmic occurrences (Matthew 24:29) and the sounding of the trumpet to gather His elect (Matthew 24:30). It is advantageous to note at this point that all of the events of the subsequent passages follow the aforementioned, great, end times tribulation (verse 21), but precede the coming of the Son of Man on the clouds to gather His elect (verse 31), i.e. the gathering of the elect follows the great tribulation; it does not precede it (as should also be noted by the phrase which begins verse 29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days... then). The great multitude: The great multitude referenced in Rev. 7:9-10 (and again in verses 13 and 14) is not to be confused with the 144,000 previously mentioned (verses 3-8). Those previously mentioned (verses 3-8) are specifically designated as those numbered from among the sons of Israel. The great multitude mentioned in verses 9-10, 13-14 are specifically designated as those from among every nation -- Gentiles.

I changed after someone read 2 Thessalonians 2 verses 1-4. Also no verse in the Bible says there will be a rapture followed by a 7 year tribulation.

I fully agree with what you have said, because I believe the same. About 15 years ago, I began to question this so-called "rapture", and the more I found out, the more I studied. Here is a short teaching that I developed just yesterday, among many others, that I would share with others. The following scripture references are used by the “Pre-Trib” folks to justify their beliefs and false doctrine. 1. See Matthew 24:29-31. “29Immediately after the tribulation of those days[which are outlined in Matthew 24:4-28]: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. ’ 30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven[the First Heaven, that is, the sky above], and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven[the First Heaven, that is , the sky above], with power and great glory.d 31And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet[this is the trumpet of God, the last trumpet to be sounded] call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other[see also Mark 13:27 for a clarification]. 2. See Mark 13:24-27. KJV - Notice, no mention of trumpet sounded. “24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. 3.See Luke 21:25-27. Notice, no mention of gathering together of believers; no mention of trumpet sounded. “25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” 4. The Gospel of John, does not mention the Second Coming nor tribulation. 5. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. 51“Behold, I tell you a mystery[a divine secret], we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed [according to 1 Corinthians 15:54], 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet;[as shown in Matthew 24:31]; for the trumpet[the Last Trumpet],will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we[all True Believers] will be changed[receive our “glorified” body, just as Jesus has: See 1 John 3:2]. 6. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. “13Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope[that is the unbelievers, who have rejected the Gospel]. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep[died with faith] in Him.” 15”By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the [Second and only remaining]coming of the Lord will by no means precede those[True believers] who have fallen asleep[died physically]. 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. 17After that, we who are alive and remain[at the Second and only return of Jesus] will be caught[gathered] up together with them in the clouds[as noted in Matthew 24:31] to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.” 7. The “Great Trumpet” or “trumpet of God” mentioned in the above verses, is the last trumpet which Jesus blows at His “Second Coming”, dispatching His angels to gather His elect[True Believers from Adam to the time of His Second Coming]. 7. Acts 1:9-11. “9After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. 10They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.[noted in Matthew 24:30; 1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16]. 8. All of the scriptures quoted in the three scriptures above, are cohesive with each other, that is they are in agreement, because it is the Word of God. 9. The real problem with the Pre-Trib advocates is, they misunderstand the following scripture, which is not difficult to interpret, provided we are not assuming that what we have been taught is correct. With the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet, the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation has come to and end. See Revelation 12:15. “Then the seventh trumpet sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our LORD and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever. “The Seventh Trumpet” mentioned in Revelation 12:15, is the “last trumpet judgment, and is not the same trumpet stated in Matthew 24, 1 Corinthians 15, and 1 Thessalonians, as the Pre-tribbers are taught. There are six other trumpets of judgment mentioned in previous verses of Revelation 8:7,8,10,12, and Revelation 9:1,13. - The sounding of the seventh and final trumpet judgment, signals the start of the “Great Tribulation” - which is the last three and one-half years. 10. The confusion or misinterpretation of Revelation 12:15, is a common problem among those who believe or have been taught about a “Pre-Tribulation” rapture, which is total misinformation and incorrect understanding of the referenced scriptures. What is overlooked in this verse is the fact that not only verse 15 of Revelation 11, but verses 16 to 19 are given for the following reason only: With the sounding of the seventh trumpet, the Great Tribulation begins, which is the final 3 and 1/2 years of the seven year period. Seven is the number of perfection and completion (cf. Ps.12:6; 119:164; Prov.6:16; 9:1), While the first six trumpets announce and commence warning judgments of ascending intensity and longevity during the Tribulation's first half, the seventh trumpet opens the longest and most intensive warning judgment of all, namely, the Great Tribulation itself. For the Great Tribulation is the ultimate admonition to prepare to meet with God, for He is coming at the end of that final three and a half years in the Person of the conquering Messiah who will mete out vengeance to His adversaries even as He brings deliverance to His people (cf. 2Thes.1:3-12). That is why all of the other events and proclamations in this paragraph, Revelation 11:15-19, directly connect the sounding of the seventh trumpet and the Great Tribulation's commencement to that glorious future day. 11. The seventh trumpet is the Great Tribulation, the final twilight of the devil's rule soon to be dissolved by the brilliant light of the Day-Star's dawning as our Lord returns and takes up His millennial rule in Jerusalem. Each of the sections of Revelation chapter 11:15-19 speak to this same central point, even as each adds additional details. The proclamation of verse 15b puts into words the underlying meaning of the 7th trumpet, namely, the imminent judgment upon the world, its evil, and present evil ruler with the victorious return of the rightful King. Hope this can help someone. I have many more teachings on the pre-trib rapture heresy. I enjoyed your outstanding presentation, it was simple and to the point.

Can you explain Jesus saying that he will come as a thief in the night for the ones who are not watching? How would he be a thief in the night when everything around us is pointing that we are in the last years. So when does he come as a thief in the night? @@dielawnpb If you have a look at the Parable of the ten Virgins, and what follows here, you will have an understanding of the "thief in the night". All of the main issues which pertain to the need for spiritual alertness during the Tribulation are covered here in the parable of the ten virgins. 1)The ten represent believers[five wise & five foolish] during the Tribulation, 2)The light of their lamps: See Psalm 119:109, represents their faith, 3)The arrival of the bridegroom represents Christ's 2nd Advent return, and 4)The oil[God’s Word] - which runs out, or is depleted from their hearts before He[Jesus Christ] arrives, and causes the five foolish virgins to miss the celebration; it represents the truth of the Word of God taught by the Spirit which feeds and empowers faith, keeping it awake and alert. Constant study, and application to our lives of God’s Word[the oil], will not deplete the light of our lamps[our faith] rather, our lamps[our faith] will grow brighter with each passing hour and day. The phrase emphasized in verse 13 above, "keep watch", means, more precisely translated, "stay awake!", and refers to the need to maintain one's faith during those trying times ahead.

@dielawnpb - If you are old and have many illnesses, you know your time is coming, you know it's knocking at the door, but you really don't know the day and the hour when it will be. Jesus told us the "Season", the "times", he gave us an idea with hints of the world state, not the exact "day and hour". It's like saying "I will come visit you when the leaves in the trees show many colors, and the wind starts to cool, and the Sun no longer burns your brow" - you know I'm coming in the Fall, but you don't know what date and time I'm ringing the door bell. Hope this helps. God Bless

When you realize like I did that Israel lost her kingdom because she rejected her king in Acts 28:28-31, then you'll also realize that all of those scriptures are also canceled just like Israel is! So not a problem! Zero in on OUR scriptures in Ephesians and Colossians because that is what is going to happen. God is looking forward to it and so should we!

I was a pretrib dispensationalist for several decades. The rapture is supposed to be secret and unprophesied in the OT Jewish scriptures (including the NT accounts of Jesus and all writings not from the apostle Paul. Yet, we have had decades of predictions about the rapture happening real soon, based on this and that event. I gave up on it after reading the word every year for several years and seeing how Christ is reigning now and subduing all things to himself. When the excitement about the blood moons in 2014/2015 came about, yet nothing happened, it was the final straw. Dispensationalists say it’s unprophesied and un-signed, YET they look for indicators in current events that it’s about to happen. It was just too inconsistent and did not align with the teaching of both the Old and the New Testaments.

This reminds me of people who say that nowhere in the Bible, does it even suggest that homosexuality is wrong. People, for whatever reason, get whatever they want out of the Bible. I decided many years ago to read it without filters. It’s amazing what it actually does say. One of the things it does say many times is that there is a rapture.

🎯 On the same note by their logic Holy Trinity isn't biblical either since the actual word isn't in there. Most Christians believe in a triune God. That hasn't been a source of contention up until recently because I think we're seeing doctrines of devils coming into play now.

I was indoctrinated with rapture theology, but never really believed it. The primary, and initial reason I doubted it was because none of the Apostles, and Christians of the early church escaped tribulation, or persecution. When you think of the horrors they faced, and how they were killed - how cowardly is it to think you are going to get beamed up when the going gets tough? Think of when Steven was stoned, and as he was dying, he prayed for those who were killing him. Think of being thrown into the lion's den, or entering into a hot furnace for refusing to worship an idol. They were willing to go through whatever they had to go through, in order to hold steadfast to their belief in Christ. Also, if you consider the population of the world since the beginning of man, why would there be an escape plan for just a small percentage of people overall, at the end of the line? The Second Coming of Jesus is the more important event in all of history. It is the most climactic. It is the final triumphant victory. Why would that be diminished by a "secret rapture" making the appearance or return of Christ happening three times, instead of twice? In my opinion, it is the most implausible, and insulting doctrine that has altered the true Gospel of Christ. For years I was confused by it. But as I read, and listen to the Bible more and more, my confidence in the truth, and in the importance of the truth, is more sound. I do not believe in the John Darby/Scofield bible at all. Darby altered many things in the Bible, and Scofield added to it as well. They will eventually face God's judgement for doing so. No one is allowed to alter God's word. Another reason I never believed it, is because there are umpteen Hollywood movies about it. That too, is an indication that the rapture doctrine is something "man" wants us to believe. It is a sensationalized, and fictional deception.

I've had a very similar experience. What got me was how often God wants to come down and dwell with his people. Just like the temple and the incarnation. How God wants to restore Eden and be with humanity once again. The new heavens and new earth. Matthew 24:39 Jesus says the ones taken away were like those in the flood. Being left behind is the goal. Being taken away is the bad thing. Similarly with the parable of the wheat and the tares. Both were let to grow and first the tares were taken and burned. The wheat was stored into barns.
