Thank you for this, I'm currently trying to learn about raw food diets for my dog who has IBS, so this has really helped! If I may make a suggestion, I think from watching your dogs that they could be eating too fast. My old dog (a lab) did the same, and eventually her stomach twisted and she was in extraordinary pain. I know there are a lot of health concerns around that, especially as dogs get older. Just thought it was something worth sharing.

Because of this channel I decided to try the raw food diet for my Rottie.. I was skeptical of course but I did my research and Colin had a big part to play in guidance with his doggies.. I have my raw food portioned out all in containers and frozen so its thaw and serve.. I do the full works and I do make a fuss over my Rottie so I mix up his veges.. So sweet potato and pumpkin.. Then peas and carrots etc.. And also mix the meats.. For variety.. I'm very pleased with his results in the past 3 months.. Coat is shinyyyyyy... And he's more muscular as compared to my tubby boy before lolzz... His energy is off the roof and he can go for much longer exercising than before.. Dog need uncooked bones and if my 50 pound Amstaff needs 1 pound of meat a day Rottweilers need a lot more than half a pound a day

I have raw fed my Rottie for 5 years but the last year I have been heating his meat to 60.C because he was getting tummy upsets. Still give him raw red meat bones, just not chicken. He's 8 so getting older, digestions isn't as good as it was. I put his food in reusable plastic tho, it saves on the cost of bags. He has thrived on raw food, shiny coat not joint issues.

Hey Collin! I’m still contemplating on the elevated bowls on stand or ground level bowls to serve food... Cause some says if it’s elevated it glides down nicely through their throats and they get good digestion whereas on the ground levels it’s kinda not that smooth. If possible I’d like to know your opinion on this please?

You should really look into feeding the dogs with elevated bowls. From everything I've read, elevating the bowls while they eat places their neck in a more optimal position and helps to prevent a lot of neck and shoulder issues that could develop over time. Love the video and I'm about to feed my Pit his first raw meal tonight!

I just started feeding raw, my only concern is if my dogs are getting enough to eat. I am following the 2.5% guidelines to maintain healthy body weight but it just doesn't seem like very much. Especially when they were getting 4 cups of dry kibble a day. What kinds of things do you feed in between, if you do?

Dogs digestive systems can't break down the cell walls of the vegetables. You need to puree veggies for them to be able to digest it properly. However, dogs don't need vegetables.

Make sure to add bones too. Also you should alternate your veggies, and don’t forget to add organs too. Not just muscle meats.
