Great short video, with a very food advice. Specially that one have to accept a defeat. Even if I don’t consider myself a contrarian, I aim to buy my positions anti cyclical. The stressed topic “Do you homework” is essential for any investment of course. I would like to add, that to act as a contrarian or you need to make you homework long before the buy. In times of market sell offs there is often not much time to do deep research. And only because a sharp fall of share price, it does not necessarily mean is a good buy. For this reason it make sense to investigate markets and companies or building circles of competence in general, even if there are no buying opportunities at the moment, but come probably in the future.

I just buy Vanguard funds, cross my fingers & hope for the best. Anything more than that is too complicated - though I'm sure this advice is sound.
