If somebody told you one year ago that this would be illegal now, you would never have believed them...

First i thought "it cant be so bad, maybe i wont even recognize the irish american dialect and overextending cuz i am german" Dafuq. There is no god. Back to fiddle and folk, i gave this a try.

The shanty songs sound the best when sung by men

Does not have the right range or strength in her range. Its not intended to be "soul" music. I agree with you.
@Gr3g00r5 жыл бұрын
I agree. Even if she's not half bad herself, she doesn't even come as close as the lead singer. He's in a league of his own ;)
@TigerheartFire5 жыл бұрын
I think the problem lies with the lack of power in her voice, or the fact that she's singing more closely in a Soul singing style than the more powerful, resonating loudness of a proper shanty. It's not that her voice is bad, as it is extremely ill-fitting for the song.

Beautiful chords. Too bad Irish Americans had to ruin it.
@Samcanspam7 жыл бұрын
Rurne I'm American and I honestly think she doesn't sound American. But I do agree she sounds bad
@LudusAurea3 жыл бұрын
The Irish have literally been singing sea shanties since before America existed but ok.
@iviui2d3i2 Жыл бұрын
@@LudusAureaI believe that's why OP said "Too bad Irish 'Americans' had to ruin it". Implying the distinct distance of cadence and sound between "American" Irish singing these Irish folk songs, as compared to "Irish" Irish singing in their native dialect.
