I can definitely see that Teddy is trying to expand the operation of the channels to be the Linus Tech Tips of watches where he is the main host, but plenty of other hosts are involved as well. Ben has done a great job both here and on his personal watch collection in the Professional Diver video showcase. I'm all here for others to come along and become a part of channels' personality as well!

That is an interesting observation. I like Linus tech tips and likewise Teddy has an informative professional and might I say an exciting show. I always look forward to Teddy and his eclectic lineup of knowledgeable guests on the show. And Ben fits in well.

Lovely review. I am from South Africa so I have not seen these color variants here, we get the Blue SSK003K1, the black SSK001K1 and the Mikan Orange SSK005K1. These USA only colors look great. I currently have the Seiko 5 SRPK11K1 (Green with Gold indices and hands). My next Seiko 5 is going to be one of the GMT's and then maybe a Field Watch (SRPG29K1). Great job Ben!

the 019 is really nice, but my fav is still the blueberry (03k1). I'd love to see these in the seiko 5 SRPE cases though (39-40mm).

Great work by Ben, he capably leans into the role of reviewer. I got the SSK003 last year, and still love it. The new colorways are great. They'll sell well. But in the GMT world, I'm thinking the introduction of the Miyota 9075 movement is the big news this year. It's showing up in more and more places. It's usually going to be in a different price category, as the watches using it appear to all be over $500, but I feel it's as much a pioneer in the true GMT category as the SSKs have been for caller GMTs.

Agree. And then there is Miyota 9054, an upgrade of 9075 strictly for Series 8 GMT Citizen. The market for a sub $1000 true GMT is burgeoning.

Indeed why Seiko decided to include a SS bracelet for the 2-tone? Isn't it obvious that the balance is off? I also wonder for push-pull crown, will the water proofing be compromised if were to wind it daily?

I like that you invited Ben, but it would’ve been nice to see a different format in the video of a conversation, rather than listening to someone reading a script. Conversations evoke, much more interesting takes and often include anecdotal stories and experiences. Loved the review anyway.

Review was a bit rescheduled in beginning but overall good job. Watches being worn in vids need shout outs. Nice to see how watches wear and that is an easy way to add more value to the vids.

Can anyone recommend alternative uses for the bezel of a diver's watch?How are you using this feature? For a long time i've found the bezel pretty much useless (maybe also coming from my digital watch collection) but i want to find an excuse to buy a diver watch, some of them look pretty cool :)

In this case, if you are in a office environment that spans time zones, it helps you keep track of 2 additional time zones. Very handy

I like having Ben in the videos, he speaks well on camera and I'd like to see him in more content. Now that being said, I wouldn't want him taking over all the videos, as he's certainly not a replacement for Teddy. I'm sure it's tough for Teddy to juggle a business, a KZfaq channel, and a life outside of work, and having Ben take over videos would make it much easier. The downside of that would be it would definitely affect the growth of the channel as the change in personalities changes the whole dynamic of the channel. I just can't see Ben reviewing a Vacheron lol. But for some specific content I think he'd be an excellent addition!

Really like this series in concept but none of the colourways have grabbed me yet. I'm a bit boring in that I think I just want a straightforward pepsi, but I can see why they want to avoid the homage watch accusations lol.
