Since her father’s death, the kind-hearted but also courageous Cinderella lives with her cruel stepmother and spoiled stepsister, Dora, who treat her like a servant in her own house. During one of her escapes to the forest, Cinderella prevents a couple of men from hunting, amongst them, the handsome prince of the kingdom. They immediately feel attracted to each other, but he is expected to find a suitable bride at the next royal ball, which Cinderella is now allowed to attend. Equipped with a great deal of courage and empowered by her three magical acorns, she decides to stand up for herself and determine her own fate. Is she able to break free from her stepmother’s tyranny and find true love?

It looks like a remake of an old version from Czech republic, Three chestnuts for Cinderella, unfortunately not that well known to the world outside the continental Europe... The best version ever...

This is the best updated version I've seen of the classic story. It keeps the substance of the original and makes it somewhat believable.

By god, I literally cannot believe that after 50 years there's a remake, I remember watching the original many times in my childhood! And just from the trailer it seems to follow the original very closely - the setting, how she meets the prince, even the acorn branch and how her ballgown comes out looks so very much like the original (obviously the cgi was not there in the 70's, but still!). bless whoever's idea this was to remake 😍🙏

The newer version took a lot of inspiration of the original but the original which I grew up with the Czech version is still number one

Oh wow, I can't believe they made a new version of the original Czech one from 1973. I had seen that as a child on an American children's TV show called Kukla, Fran, and Ollie way back in the day. It was dubbed into English of course, but I always remembered it. And it became my favorite version of the fairy tale. I would love to watch this remake as well. Where can I see it?

Please, people. Learn to read subtitles. Dubbing is such a distraction. The voice actors can't act and the lip flap doesn't match. You are missing a lot of good stuff. And don't bother with but this is aimed at kids argument.

So true... which is weird because animation has so many fantastic voice actors. When I tried to watch 'I am Dragon' dubbed (out of curiosity) I didn't last 5 min's, the voice they had for the lead female was not for me. Plus the original actor for the male lead has an AMAZING voice! With or without subtitles I'd listen to him talk!

Every version ever made is better than that trash. Pierce Bronson was the only thing good about that trash. He gave a better performance than the trash deserved. Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella has 4 versions. I know I've seen at least 2. 87 with Brandy was OK. The 1957 version was almost like a stage play and was 100 times better than Amazon Cinder Trash. One of my favorites is Slipper and the Rose. It's a musical but so much more than she goes to the ball he takes the slipoer, finds her and they get married. In fact, he doesn't even find her when he searches and then king dad forbids the marriage after he dies find her because she's not royalty.

For some reason, not that the cartoon effects are it, Disney's original Cinderella is still the best version. Enchanted is a close second. Another Cinderella Story is my third favorite.

And what about Tři oříšky pro Popelku (Three Wishes for Cinderella) from 1973 from the Czech Republic? It is considered one of the best. This Norwegian remake is based on a Czech movie from 1973. Watch this older Czech version if you haven't seen it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f5yoprmL05vaqmg.html

thisnis not based on Perrault Cinderella but O Popelce by fairy taler Bozena Nemcova. The original movie is a christmas classic in Europe

I would recommend 1973 version. I think the Norwegian 2021 remake is more on level of Disney Live Action remake quality, it looks pretty but dont have so much the engine as the original one.

It was just a nightmare watching Cinderella and hoping that the children didn’t understand that there were two guys kissing 😳 but the prince and Cinderella weren’t. what a strange time.

Would be nice if the 1973 movie Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella was available somewhere with English subs first. I already want to hate this movie because of the ‘don’t shoot animals’ line. That’s just 21st century woke bullshit. And dubbing is distracting. Just subtitle it and learn to read.

Sweet movie all except for the passionate kissing of two gay guys. Which by the way, was NOT IN THE ORIGINAL MOVIE. Ruined the movie for me. Nonsense. Since when does a movie remake have to appeal to the gay community. It would have been better to stick to the original classic.
