As they could not guarantee the protection of these children abroad and Americans refused to collaborate, the Russian government stopped it. It was the right call. If I gave a child up for adoption, I would want my country to be able to protect it

thi was born in birobidzhan by a mother who was a heavy alcoholic and had no clue she was pregnant. i was her 4th child and the only one she gave away. i was a medically needy infant and my mother came and adopted me and brought me to california was i was 10 months old. i dont remember the orphanage but i feel the affects of my birth situation daily.
