I'm a momma to 13 and totally understand where you're at. One thought... I can mixed greens(Jake, swiss chard, broccoli leaves, spinach.. just whatever is handy) I put all the chopped greens in a pillow case and emerse them in a large pot of boiling water. This enables us to can 50 or more quarts at s time. Just an idea for you going forward. I thought it was a unique idea years ago when I first started using the pillow case method. Turns out that homemakers used to use a blanching bag similar to my method. There's truly nothing new under the sun. I think freeze drying your “mothers” from your vinegar and sour dough starter would make wonderful Christmas gifts. The little boys are so adorable. You are such an inspiration. So funny when you say I didn’t do a lot this week. If all you accomplish is homeschool and feeding and entertaining the littles I call that a win. Prays for a uneventful and positive delivery .

In the Netherlands where I live and come from, kale is our national vegetable. We eat kale ALWAYS as a stew, which means you chop it in very fine peaces and chop 2 kilos of potatoes and boil it together in a big pan, with a bit of salt. After half an hour it is ready and you do the water out of the pan, but leave an inch of it on the bottom. You stamp with a potato stamper( I don’t know the word in English) and mush it together with a peace of butter. Ad little peaces of fried bacon and you have the best winter dish ever. We eat it with sausage and fried bacon, jummie 😋

I'm so glad you mentioned your age, I turned 42 in September and I have a little girl that turned 6 mo on Friday and we plan on having one more, it's nice to see other "older" mothers having children on this platform (even tho we aren't old 😄 or are we I dont know anymore 😆).

Kale is delicious when cooked like collard greens with some smoked pork or turkey. I like Kale and spinach cooked in with my mustard greens and smoked ham hocks. Hit it with some spicy pepper vinegar and you're in business! 😀 So yummy! 😋

I am truly envious with your food storage and how you live. I wanted 6 children and a true homestead life! Turns out my ex husband didn’t want any of us anymore and just left one day. I was then able to gain a medical career under my belt however working full time and also raiding 5 children on my own limited all things in my life! Now my children are all grown and I’m still wanting a good food preservation for my home/family. I just found ya and have been binge watching you 😊 pretty darn incredible! We use coconut cream for whipped cream too. We don't have a canister and just used our stand mixer. We've had the best success after putting the can of cream in the fridge for a while beforehand.

I have to try hard to not compare myself to you and Becky especially when I face the reality that I'm much older than the 2 of you. I just had my children very late in life. I accept what I can do and enjoy watching you 2 do so much more. 💓
