I finally did our mid-century chair makeover! I was dreading the upholstery part and it is the reason I waited a long time before doing it. We got the chair in a thrift store (so this is my first thrift flip) for $30. I’ve seen similar looking mid-century chairs for around $600 so I’m glad I did a diy for this one. It is an accent chair that is in the corner of our bedroom and it fits so much better with the rest of the style of the room now. Hope you enjoyed!

Three years ago we bought our first house and wow it’s been a journey! We renovated ourselves in a true DIY way pretty much everything (95%) because…. mostly we are cheap, but also cause we can’t let go of micromanaging the renovations. This channel will be my attempt to show the end result of all this hard work. It’ll also be a lot of before and after, makeovers, DIYs but who knows what’s coming!

Hi William, that tool is called a 5 in 1 tool specifically used by painters since there are a lot of ways painters use this tool..opening paint cans, cleaning a roller, etc. DDecker

I just found your channel. I love what you did to the chair. It's great! I have to take my MCM chair apart tomorrow in order to fit it into my car for a 2 hour drive from where I'm storing it, up to my new workshop & I am SO nervous! The upholstery is scaring me, the taking it apart is scaring me. The whole project is scary because I love this MCM chair and ottoman. I think I will be watching this video a few times to give me courage. Thanks for sharing! ~MLB~

My pleasure! I was dreading doing it for so long but I'm happy I did it! I found mine in an antique shop, because it wasn't a real antique (it's a reproduction) and it didn't fit with the style of the store, it was only $30! Definitely a great find, good luck!

I do not like "Mid Mod" style. I think because I lived through it growing up & had Too Much of it. But u did Amazing on this refurbish WOW, What U Did! I would luv to own this!
