My 2nd Thrift Flip Challenge Video!
I take my friend Lianah thrift shopping! She picked out items for me to upcycle and I had absolutely no say! I gave her $10 and she picked out three very different things that I had to turn into one cohesive outfit! I made a denim dress, cropped top and fully lined zippered pouch!

Te quedó bellísimo, me encanta tu canal, para que no confecciones la pinza de la sisa en la tela, en el molde de papel en la parte más curva le haces una pinza de 1 CM a 1.5 CM, la cierras en el papel, y así será más fácil y no tendrás que confeccionarla en la tela, además que orma bellísimo... Es algo que yo he ido aprendiendo 😍😍😍😍

You are super talented and very knowledgeable for someone who learnt sewing on her own....i loved the denim one although at first I thought you are going wayyyyy too overboard with the bleaching and re doing it., but it turned out very cute. With the red pants you could have done a simple A line skirt to go with the top. The green top however was so darn cute, I am making it for my daughter. Lovely idea!!!

Hi, new to sewing here! Thank you for using lots of terms, but I have a question about one of them. What exactly does “cut on fold” mean? Do you cut the fabric there? Are you folding the fabric over that spot? Both?

Hi! If your pattern requires this, this edge will be marked either "place on fold" or "cut on fold" and it won't have a seam allowance. You'll fold your fabric in half, and then line up the "cut on fold" edge of the pattern to the fold of the fabric. Once you cut out and unfold the fabric, you'll have one symmetrical pattern piece. I don’t think it’s a good idea in general to buy clothes that are too big just for the purpose of flipping them, it takes away clothing options from bigger people who rely on thrifted clothes

I feel the same way. Sometimes you make disparaging remarks about the clothes (sad, brown potato sack, etc), but for someone who wore that outfit in it's original size, it probably didn't look like that. We all can't be size 2! (Cindy Ratliff)
