Thrift Haul and Confusing Depression Glass!

Can you tell the difference between the two depression glass
patterns featured at the end of the show? Who made them
and what are the pattern names? Also, who can correctly
identify the carnival glass pitcher including company name
and pattern? Have fun!

I'm not sure but I think the glasses on the right were made by Jeannette????? They are square vs the diamond shapes on the left.

I can tell the difference because I collect the Windsor pattern in uranium. It's one of my favorites.

@@ameliahouchins1602 My mother had these glasses growing up- I think they were her mother's glasses. I honestly think this is what started me on the old glassware as an adult.

My late Mother had that KitchenAid mixer. (My Dad had painted the mixer to match the kitchen theme color. A pretty pastel Jadeite-ish green. The kitchen cabinets were a lovely natural wood. This was way before KitchenAid produced colorful mixers.) I will never forget seeing the mixing bowl go flying across the kitchen floor and breaking into pieces! She was mixing a very stiff chocolate frosting. The bowl had come unlocked from its threaded mixer base. I was told to get out of the kitchen while she cleaned up. I was bummed the frosting was ruined. 😆

My FIL gave me my MIL's Kitchenaid and it had this glass bowl. Dad gave it to me in the 1990's and I used it until the motor finally gave out. I wish I would have had it repaired. My hubby was like get a new one with more hp. I wish I had't listened to him. lol

I love the little tomato glasses. My Gran always had them at her dinner place setting. We would sprinkle a little salt& pepper into the tomato juice ❤️

I’m in shock! You found the Metlox of my childhood 🙌🏻 I need those bowls! I have the creamer and a serving bowl which are red with a black embossed rivet pattern from the set which were bought by my parents in the late 50s. Those hit me with such intense nostalgia ❤️🐩

So much elegant great glass!!! Scott I did my homework and that water pitcher is probably the best example I've ever seen! That marigold is so dark and rich! Your water pitcher was produced by Imperial and imperial referenced it as just Imperial Rose that I found in my Butler Brothers Catalog from 1916. Now the collectors reference the water pitchers and tumblers as Luster Rose and any of the plates or bowls with collar bases are called Open Rose. I also found that imperial produced and sold this pattern from 1912-1917!

I have a similar lamp. At Christmas I put a red bulb in the top and green in bottom! Looks great. Milk glass works well for any colored bulb. Great selection of dept. glass!👍

Pink tray with clear glasses= Jeanette Glass, Diamond pattern The other set is Anchor Hocking-Waffle pattern. I wish I had a glass book lol😂

Love the Caprice pieces. It was my Mom's cousin's wedding pattern, in the blue. My Mom's was Candlewick. I adore the pink cream and sugar. I may have to break my rule of only buying orphans.

I have never found one signal piece of uranium glass at the 10+ Goodwill stores near me. Employees tell me they now pack up any uranium glass and all camera gear to be only sold at their online store. 😪

Based on what I looked up, that carnival glass pitcher was made by Imperial and is either the Lustre Rose or Open Rose pattern. As for the depression glass, the maker is Anchor Hocking, and the pattern is called Miss America. How did I do Scott?

The pink cream and sugar would have had tiny pink salt and pepper and a tiny plate to pit over the creamer. I have a couple of these sets. Love the stacking cream and sugars
