Oh my goodness those Bibles!! How wonderul are those!! Joanne I am so happy your daughter is going to become a homeowner and is trusting you to decorate her room in dark academia which I like for certain rooms, that will be fun. So many great finds in your haul.

I can’t wait to see the process as it unfolds. I absolutely love the Art Deco wardrobe - you got a wonderful deal on it - and my other favorite is the little vertical wooden book/magazine/journal stand. Hugs!

On your little table, you might try spraying it with a clear matte spray. I have done that to dull furniture down and it works pretty well. Love, love your bibles, thank you for saving them, so many people would just throw them away.

I love the dark academia look. That room will be so fun to decorate. My favorite items are the bibles....beautiful! I also liked the chippy, latticed book holder. Looking forward to watching the progress as you decorate the room.

I like the print your daughter picked out. The Terra cotta pots are a nice addition for color in the print. I’d leave the magnifying glass in its present state. Dents and all. More authentic the way it is. And, the Armoire - oh my 😻

Its all really nice. My favorite is seeing Lewis, love your fur babies. I rescue Bibles also. I have several. Congrats to your lovely daughter. How nice for her to ask you to help with that room. It will be fun. It will all fall into place, and you will do just fine with your talent. My daughter Lynn just purchased a home in Michigan. She ie moving from Florida. Joanne, Those are some beautiful finds. I'm so happy you saved those Bibles. That's Wonderful. My Husband collects old Bibles too, and has one from 1876. His Grandmother's Bible is here, it's from 1917. We can't let an old Bible be destroyed. One of the Bibles has fallen apart, but we put it back together the best we can, and store it in my Husband's office. That Armoire is So Beautiful...what a Steal. Thanks for Sharing, and Congratulations to your Daughter. I know you're gonna have a blast decorating that room/library. I love the idea with the small books.

You know I adore you and your finds that you share with your sweet personality I would suggest you look at a few Sherlock Holmes clips to get an idea of what your daughter is looking for. The apples seem very bright. Just run stuff by her 1st. She apparently has her own ideas. It will be terrific!!❤

She does have her own ideas. It seems Harry Potter is good inspiration for the Dark Academia style and she loves Harry Potter. I think we will work it out together. We work well together. She is a good kid (ha ha, kid at 27) Hugs.

My favorite is the armoire @ $75.00 AND is PerFecT for the look of her library/guest room. I can “see” the changes that will be necessary to work them into the look she’s going for! Do you have information on an inexpensive overseas (Germany) postage company? I would VERY MUCH appreciate ANY INFO you can share!! I use Pirate Ship for shipping my packages. They discount shipping and I know they ship to Canada, but I don't know about overseas since I never shipped overseas. You can check them out though. Dark academia is gothic inspired. If Kaitlin, I apologize because I don’t know how she spells her name, is going to have a designated library, shop on government auction websites in your area. Oftentimes they have old oak and glass legal bookcases and other types. You might find something cool, might not. Depends on the day. Keep looking. Sometimes these things go for a lot of money, sometimes nothing. Good luck.
