I live in a Victorian Cottage style home and it's been fun for my husband and I to update each room while still keeping the charm of a historical building. Most items featured in this video were purchased second hand from thrift stores, goodwill, ebay, depop and Facebook!
Cottage gardens are quaint and colorful. This patio and outdoor space has been a lot of work, but well worth the beautiful reward.
I have been so inspired by the beautiful chateau related channels I watch on KZfaq, like Chateau Diaries, Dreaming of a Chateau, Doing It Ourselves etc that I decided to give our guest room a dreamy and elegant makeover! Nearly everything I decorate with is a thrift store, garage sale, or auction find. My husband and I live in a Folk Cottage Style Victorian home and I love looking for unique antiques to compliment our historical home.

Sheila looks so good in the peach one! Those are all really great for her and its nice seeing that she is finally branching out of her usual. I bet she feels all brand new now! That yard is just too pretty with all those weeping willows, I had forgotten the sound they make in the wind with all the russling leaves.. mmmmmm Beautiful flowers, green thumb is right!😃 I grew up in a home that had tons of trees and space like that, I miss it. How is Shermies mouth???🐝 Thats funny, your mom just said the exact same thing about the willows :) After the lilac flowers dry up you can cut the bush back and they bloom thicker, most only bloom every 2 years. Yellow Tunic is adorable! I Will check out thread up. Your pergula slats are cool, neat idea! Both your yards are beautiful! I really like your hat! its cute on you 😊

Both your's and your mom's gardens are absolutely gorgeous. Your mom has plenty of acreage in which to garden (be it trees or flowers) and wonderful spots to sit & read or just enjoy nature and all of it's various critters. Your garden is ideally suited to your victorian home. You & Pete have done so much to improve the inside as well the outside and all your efforts really show. Kudos to you both for enhancing your beautiful old victorian home. I do enjoy & look forward to your videos whether they just have you or both your mom and you. Your home & garden both are my dream come true. I probably will never own a pretty victorian home or have such a pretty garden as I live in dry west Texas. Keep the neat, informative videos coming. I remember the first time I planted shasta daisies. I blamed the neighbors for the stink because I thought they must not be cleaning up after their dog. LOL I moved them further from the patio once I realized where the stink was coming from.
