As your lovely Mom stated, “I worked years to get this color hair!” I have silver hair and love the color. I had blonde hair until I had chemo and lost all my hair. It grew back silver color. I get lots of compliments on my hair. Wouldn’t think of changing my hair color ….just thankful to have beautiful, thick grey hair at the age if 65💞🥰😁 Love your videos with your sweet Mom!

The big 'pitcher' is for a wash stand. It came as a set: big washing bowl, pitcher and soap dish. Sometimes also with one or two tumblers, all in ceramic. That was is the days before washbasins and bathrooms with running water :)

I just have to say that I love the thrifting videos you make with your mom. It’s so heartwarming to see the close relationship you have with each other. I was always so close to my mom too, but I lost her to cancer when I was 18. It is so sweet and refreshing to see how close the two of you are, and even though I think of how I wish I could still have that with my mother, I look forward to the day that my own young daughter and I can share that type of bond that goes beyond the child/parent bond, and also becomes friendship.

Next door to Daniel Boons Trading post is a huge building that is now a tile & granite store. It was Poco's Antiques for 25 plus years, packed full. The owners retired in late 2006. Everything was 75% off. I helped the owners that were friends of my brothers for two + weeks. They traded me for my help. I took home 6 pickup & trailer loads of antiques, collectibles including furniture. I filled a huge shop. The next year the recession hit, hundreds of people came to my sales, but very few people had money.

lol...yes I've been there with the swapping shoes story...when I was little my mum made me swap shoes with my cousin to walk up this big hill in Wales (UK) I had to wear here slip on Scholl's (like clogs) as she was crying and didn't want to walk...she got my comfy trainers!! I still remind her of this every time I see her...its gets me extra cake on birthdays :)

And I can’t remember what you called them but it was such a sweet precious name! It was him a ethereal name and I thought that was so Appropriate Since God built those marvelous trees. I wanted to let you know that the easy way to clean and oil painting is simply crumbling up you’re breaking up into small pieces, Would be slices of inexpensive WHITE BREAD😊❣️❣️.You heard me right!! I am an Artist , and i’ll paint with oil, and oil paintings have texture and ridges when they dry and thereby they are notorious for capturing the dust and other particles in the air and they do land on those ridges. If you have a computer “air pressured “can for cleaning your keyboard Also can use that to blow the dust off first; some people will use a VERY DELICATE, SOFT ACTUAL SMALL to MEDIUM ARTIST PAINT BRUSH (not a Household brush as it’s TOO MUCH PRESSURE- You can POTENTIALLY POKE A HOLE IN THE CANVAS, or CAUSE A CRACK, - SO IT IS IMPERATIVE YOU ARE VERY DELICATE WITH THE PROCESS OF CLEANING: Starting at one corner, sectioning approximately a 4” x 4” area and gently in a circular motion, using the white bread under your fingers under, pressing ever so lightly circularly around and around all the way across to 4 inches and then back-and-forth until you’ve covered the entire 4 inches across and down and then leaving it there to soak up the dust and allowing the oil from the bread to pick up the dust, moving on to a new area by getting out new pieces of white bread. Select a new area Next to the one you just worked on and in the same approximate size they can with your pieces of bread under your fingertips gently rubbing it in a circular motion allowing to bridge absorb the dust and it will begin to crumble as the bread picks up the dust and you may find a 6 inch area is better for the size of your hands and the size of the canvas. Continue this process, paying attention closely to the edges and corners the painting near the frame. Your instinct will be to pick it up and dump it all off but please leave it for a good hour or even overnight depending on the size of your canvas to allow those oil in the bread and the moisture in the bread to absorb the dust. The next day or when you decide to start the next portion of the project, And maybe I should’ve stated this upfront but you’ll need newspapers or an old rag or sheet under your painting..Even a dropcloth, although it’s not going to cause any damage to your countertop or whatever you would be working on and a trashcan or a bag.… As well as the paintbrush (es) you’re going to use. If it’s a small painting, you can just tip it over the trashcan but otherwise gently began tipping this to a 45° angle upward and allowing with no assistance the breadcrumbs to fall off that will do it automatically and without any tapping of the frame onto your table top or countertop, allow the breadcrumbs to fall off on their own. Move them aside out of your way and lay down your peace of heart. Then becomes the most important & TEDIOUS part of CLEANING YOUR ART WORK~ ♥️🌈 IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT….❣️❣️ gently be can and slow consistent soft strokes at the corner in the upward left-hand side, in a downward motion bringing the bread crumbs gently off the canvas. Anything that does it come Off initially, Try not to worry because this will be probably a two maybe even a three time process. But start the process of initially getting any breadcrumbs off that didn’t fall off. Work to the right and come back in a systematic motion back-and-forth so you get to the bottom and then pick up your frame letting everything that you can that may have collected along the bottom ridge of the framework fall off. You may be able to GENTLY TAP THE FRAME”

I’d never heard of Birdie’s until this video. Yesterday I went with my mom to her favorite thrift store (we thrift together all the time) and she said “look at these shoes I’m getting.” They were a plain black pair. No floral design. I told her I’d just seen that brand, the day before, in your video. I looked them up on line and they are $95. My mom paid maybe $3. or $4. 😮😆 Thanks for sharing. Much appreciated.
