I’m 65 yrs young, I remember my grandma’s aluminum tree and the wheel that had triangles of 4 colors with a light behind it which would make the tree whatever color was in front of the light. Green, red, blue and yellow. Such fond memories of my youth. Merry Christmas Laura!

I too, am 65 and my grandma had the pompom aluminum tree with the 4 color lighted wheel. I would sit mesmerized by the light show, lol. Thank you Laura for sharing.

I’m 67, and my Grandma Ruby also had an aluminum tree with the rotating color wheel. I don’t remember thinking much of it as a kid, but whenever I see one now it brings back wonderful memories!

So..you're not going to believe this but I found a bitossi bull last week at a thrift store for 7.00 Even though is brown glazed I'm soo happy I found it and I thought of you since I learned about bitossi watching your videos. Thank you and I'm happy you have one as well.

“Bravo” mean courageous in Italian…”Geno” means God is Love…”Favio”…means wisdom. Just a few thoughts! I love, LOVE your tree! Boy, I had a smaller size hand made tree with the bulb/lights, that my former late Mother in Law made, it was dated 1967. I sold it a few years ago, and now that I love my vintage Christmas pieces, Im kicking myself from selling it. Oh well…live and learn! Merry Christmas Laura, I love your videos! Dante.. means lasting. And look how long your bull lasted .. :) ps...I had my mother-in-laws on aluminum tree since my 2 kids were little. I just put it in the shed in its original box. My son when he was about 12, got it out one day about 3 weeks before Christmas. While we were asleep. He stayed up & decorated it with lights & our decorations. We were shocked in the morning ! We had know idea that he planned that. He still has it. :). And he's 48 now. We also have Beatles items.

I just discovered your channel. I am living through you. Making less than 800.00 a month social security I may even loose my house. But I wanted you to know how much I love your channel. And when I saw your aluminum tree it sent me to my childhood. I was allergic to pine so no real Christmas trees. We had that tree with the spinning light. Lot of love and best wishes from Texas.

I’m working on calming my heart. Paris one of the best cities in the world. Every time I have been there I go antiquing. Love the book stores. I have a stepsister that lived in France for many years. We enjoyed the same things and loved exploring those nooks and crannies.

Mistletoe and Holly are also poisonous to cats. I hope you see this before Christmas. Our family has those houses! I hope to dig them out and hopefully they are still in one piece. I have almost all the ones you have. What we used to do is put the Christmas cotton down and make it look like snow and underneath put a string of lights and poke it through the cotton and into the back of the houses. We had little figurines of people pulling their Christmas tree's home and we'd make a huge village under the tree. I'm glad I got to see the aluminium tree.

Really enjoy your retro Christmas collection. Growing up in the 60's & 70's we had a white fiberglass tree on a rotating stand with the color wheel. We loved it! In light of your travel plans, I wish you a ❄️Joyeux Noel!❄️

The gold ornament you showed that you said looked like a tree, the blue/teal long one on the book beside it, and the shorter gold one on the shelf above were tree toppers. Kind of comets instead of stars. ;-) They were considered quite chic back in the day.

Such a great video. We are blessed to have my husband’s grandparents Christmas ornaments. My husband is 67 so you can imagine how old and special they are. I want an aluminum Christmas Tree so bad. My Grandmother had one all my years growing up. It is a memory of Christmas I will always have. I loved it. When she passed I asked my Aunt if I could it, her response " I just threw that out " my heart sank. I couldn't believe my ears. That was 25 yrs ago and I am still heart broken over it today.
