Hey Hanna, Good to see you. Glad you found some goodies out there. I often have good luck with CD's at Goodwill in particular. Also often seeing stuff in my own collection I paid full price for way back when. Beh....if only I knew.... Cool Kottke. I forget just how prolific he is. Am always finding out about stuff he's done. Nice haul, especially the SRV. Some quality stuff for sure. I lucked out and found most of the SRV catalog on vinyl at an estate sale. In Step is a tough get on vinyl, especially an original pressing. Love the grunge stuff too. The weather here has finally broken and I can open some windows around the house....so now my neighbors can listen to what I'm playing a lot easier! Lol. Take care Hanna.

Not ashamed to admit I love Olivia Newton John. I have the same album I found at goodwill. :) Couldn't stand the weather is my fav SRV album. Very nice finds Hanna. That Zevon cd looks great. “Accidentally Like a Martyr” and “Desperados under the Eaves” are 2 of my favorite songs by him. Check those 2 out. That whole cd is great though. Hi Hanna. Any Elvis gospel is wonderful. Nice SRV finds. Excellent Soundgarden album- Badmotorfinger is their best, imo and we're my fav 90's band. Temple of the Dog were conceived by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. The guitarists and bassist later joined Vedder as PJ. Eddie was only a guest on that album. Nice Goodwill haul. Cheers, Jeff

Hi Hanna. Last year I picked up an ONJ album (Physical) from a thrift store. I expected to get a bit of flak for it, but I was surprised at the positive reaction from a lot of people. She kind of falls into the bracket of guilty pleasures I suppose. When I was growing up, Summer Nights was a huge record for me,. Xanadoooooo-a-hoooo. Ah, one of my most hated songs. lol But I do have Olivia's first greatest hits album and I like some of her tracks. Actually, it's signed... I found it in a pawn shop and it's signed for some guy named Frank or something. 59 cents / 99 cents for CDs at Goodwill?! It's amazing the price differences in other parts of the country. We pay $1.99 per CD here in SoCal and that's a minimum. I occasionally see them for $2.99 and $3.99 in some thrift stores. I've never heard of Leo Kottke. I'll have to look him up on the KZfaqs. I love Warren Zevon... extremely talented writer. His Excitable Boy is one of my favorite albums of the 70's. The only Fiona Apple album I've listened to is Tidal but I remember it being decent. Nice finds, Hanna!

Nice find with the jim reeves and patsy lp. Jim reeves is great, im not huge into country but he is one of my favorites. His albums luckily are also super cheap. You should try out when you find them that is an album that has the songs the blizzard and welcome to my world and he'll have to go on them. I think those are his best personally. Warren zevon is fantastic as well. The excitable boy album is his best. Roland the headless thompson gunner is my favorite track of his. Really cool story with historical events involved. Hope that one is on that comp. Cool fiona apple, im only familiar with her album tidal but she is quite popular still. Seen her stuff sell out in nearby stores alot.

Hanna, Another great video!!! What can I say About Olivia Newton John. I am a huge fan, Have everything she recorded. I am a fan of Jim Reeves as well, first song I ever heard him sing was "He'll Have To Go". I Like a few Adele songs, but for some reason I was disappointed in her debut album, perhaps I was expecting too much, but anyway we all have different likes and dislikes which is good because how boring and dull life would be if everyone loved the same music. I'm hearing good things about that Hatfield album of Newton John covers, it's building up some buzz I think. Never owned any ONJ records but she was kind of a big deal when I first started listening to music. I've always pronounced it Warren ZEE-von. Got one LP of his and I think a biography that I found in a thrift store and still haven't read lol. Temple Of The Dog, I'm not a big 90's grunge guy but I always loved that Hunger Strike song from when it was out. Cheers!

Cool pick-ups! Fiona Apple is great although she kind of lost me with her last two releases. She is quite talented though and a great performer. I think you are really going to like SRV's In Step. That is a great find!

Hi Hanna. If you don't already have it or heard it you should check out Mad Season album. A great grunge album with Layne Staley on vocals and members from other grunge bands.

The song “Ghost” on Kristen Hirsch is great. It’s a duet with Michael Stipe. Highly recommended.

Olivia Newton John - when I was 7 and saw Grease, I discovered girls were different. When the Physical video came out, I learned how they were different. Bigly. Adele - a shame her career is most likely ending so soon - 21 is a phenomenal album. Leo Kottke - as long as he isn't singing, it’s great. Zevon - I read his biography and he was a terrible person - but I appreciated his music more.
