It's that time again...prepping and preparing for Antique Acres which is May 17th & 18th! Today, I grabbed 5 thrift store finds and flipped them for my upcoming show, Antique Acres. If you are in the area and haven't been there before...it is a must stop!! You don't want to miss out on this amazing event!!
Sometimes thrift flips can be a quick and easy transformation. I love how these thrift store finds have been given new life by simply adding a transfer.

I had fun putting some of the fairies transfers on an old binocular case in late fall. It is not sold yet but is so pretty. Love the look of the transfer on that dark enamel! Yes, of course don’t miss a game!

Yes, your priorities are there ! I'm an empty nester and those times are embedded in your kids minds and yours too. Thinking right now makes a flood of memories pop up of all the swim meets/cheerleader events etc. ❤ You have truly opened me up to wanting to try these!! I don’t think I can really pick a favorite! Isn’t that Lover of Flowers transfers the best!! Mine is almost used up! I just love the rose you put on the granite ware lid (is that what that’s called???). I would have never thought of that…but it’s so cool!!❤️💕🌸

Random question…do I remember correctly you having large envelopes for your IOD transfers? The plastic sleeves mine came in are falling apart and I’m looking for a way to store them and I think I remember you using some when you were organizing your studio? Maybe?

Is there any benefit to using more than one coat of Big Top? I like my projects to be bomb-proof, but if a second coat doesn’t make a difference I don’t want to waste it.

The only reason I would put an extra coat of Big Top was if the project was going outside or if it was a high traffic piece like tables. 😊

Do you have any tips or tricks on how to remove the permanent marker price tag that was written on the bottom on your crock. There is a local thrift store that is notorious for writing with permanent maker and if the item is even a little porous, I have a heck of a time trying to get it off.

Sometimes using rubbing alcohol, acetone or a magic eraser can take off the permanent marker.

I would keep the sign and get rid of something you've had for awhile. It is so wonderful.
