after thrifting at many thrift stores in brisbane & toowoomba areas i have noticed most clothes are horrible polyester even designer brands I like natural threads especially in this brutal heatwave we are having & with menopause I just can't wear anything too thick anymore all the best Jo it's ok to be picky 🙂

I loved the green skirt which is Princess Highway brand they're from Dangerfield shop which is my favourite place to get my dresses jumpers and Cardigan a bit pricey but I loved going there..for a 70 years old I still like to dress young..the white Boho dress is pretty and looks good on you..sometimes as our body changes it also changes our style. Good to see you back shopping again Jo 😊

Gorgeous silver skirt

I really love the white "boho" dress...that's so my style! Pool noodles are a great tip for keeping boots upright. I use those and I also use those air-filled bags that are used for shipping. They're great for shorter boots especially and also work to keep the shape of handbags. All the outfits look lovely on you!

You really need to get your mom to fix the waist on the midi skirt with the silver. It looks amazing and if fixed you will love it so much more. The white dress is just awesome. This summer I remade a few thrifted items. I took a beautiful boho skirt completely apart, made a repair and added new elastic in the waist. Now I just love it for a fun pop of color on a hot Summer day. I also mostly took apart an amazing shirt that was hand painted. I kept the original button down and collar but the rest was unpacked and resent much smaller and shorter. It is so much fun to wear now. If your mom can fix stuff for you pamper her to the max. Love the simple style vibe you have going in this video. Just a word of caution do not declutter all of you old favorites but pack the best ones away for a year or two and you may want to wear some of them again. A new look is always a good thing but you may be in the mood for some of you old favorites down the road. I am very ill at the moment but when I feel better I am looking forward to figuring out my Winter weardrobe.

Jo, I can totally relate to your new style: Simple, classic, not too colourful and not too much going on. That's how I like to dress, too, at the moment. The Italian duster coat is just georgeous! And I loved the lilly silk blouse and the levis jeans you paired with it. Best colour for you I think. And I'm happy that you didn't declutter the h&m blouse wirh the blue stiching that I bought secondhand after I saw it in one of your videos. 😊

Always awesome! And I feel ya! For me it was the lovely menapause weight that appeared overnight around my mid section. Nothing fits the way it used to. Will need to do some more thrifting ;)

Love the grey Italian made cape style jacket on you, thats a great find imo. I used to loved "wrapping up", coats boots , layers; but that works in nz or maybe sydney but NOT in brisbane! Takes away a whole fun genre of dressing.

Oh, I feel your pain Jo.....I've just gone through a style black hole. I was not happy with my clothes at all and decided to change my style. I got a mullet haircut and was wearing baggy jeans and sweatshirts. I looked awful. I'm a chubby hourglass figure and shapeless clothes do not work on me....and as for the mullet, I'm growing it out.

Same. Ecclectic tastes, difficult to hone into a cohesive style where the entire wardrobe works. But with so many pieces i love and cant say goodbye too, but at the same time i need a new wardrobe. Everyone working at thrift stores is pillaging the items and selling them for premium and rhe scraps make into stores. I thrifted alot in the 90s 2000s and 2010s and the divine amazing pieces that used to be de rigeur are so rare now.

Hi Jo you make me laugh know how you feel sometimes you don't know if the outfit is you anymore. I think as you get older it gets a bit tricky too.. Those pieces are really nice love that coat perfect for mild and winter weather. The weather in Melbourne isn't really that cold in winter all the time so I haven't worn a coat for ages too.
