As a fellow thrifter, if you find skirts where the waistband is a bit too big, I just pull the waistband over itself a little bit and stitch it. That way it sits better and sometimes it also adds a little something to the sides without being super noticeable. ❤️ But this trick is better if the item is only like one size too big or something. ☺️ Edit: I'm pretty sure I have that exact same black vest you saw near the end! I thrifted mine from a Goodwill as well 😂👏🏻
