The horse is great! Don’t paint it. It has a lot of character. But you may want to spray a top coat of some sort over it so that the paint doesn’t chip anymore. Like a matte clear coat just to seal it. You can also try to make a lamp out of it if you know someone who can wire it. That would be so cute and unique! Anyway, fun video!💕

The horse for $100 is fantastic! I personally like the aged look, maybe just put a clear coat of spray gloss on top to preserve the cracking paint.

Girl I'm Latinx and a fluent speaker in Spanish but I have accent when I speak so sometimes I get judged by the Latino community there's no winning it be your own people lmaoooo I'm happy you're supporting Latinx businesses though! If I go to socal in the future I definitely wanna to go there 🥹

I’m glad you left the plus size skirt behind at the theater swap meet. It can be rough for curvy girls to find quality thrift items, so you have their backs when you leave those pieces for them, and choose from the sizes that fill the racks instead.💖

one of the reasons i LOVE your channel so much is you show the true california and all of its history/people. i have so much LOVE for the Latino community. reminds me of the fleam markets me and my family would sell at in the atlanta area. The carousel horse is gorgeous! I love all the pastel colors 🥰 Also I get so self conscious going to swap meets and asking about prices because it really varies on how you look, that’s why I prefer set price piles or racks that already have prices on each clothing 🥹😭

I grew up here and it hasn’t changed too much, except there used to be more vendors inside the building. In the 90s there were so many vendors in the Westlake theater!

Awwwww I could only imagine!!! There’s a ton of foot traffic in the area so kinda sucks that it’s not seen inside the actual swapmeets😢

Definitely wasn’t expecting a swap meet video! You got some good stuff and that carousel omg such a steal!! Yeah most vendors get surprised when I speak fluent Spanish 😅 it’s a really good place to get long pleated skirts and that abuelita type of clothes

Maybe the carousel could be made into a coat/hat rack. Maybe start enquiring with friends whether they know any builders? or see whether you can combine a coatrack with it as your own diy.

The ring is super cute and pretty good price for sterling ❤ I have alot of stores downtown like the ones you were at it's right on the boarder of Mexico I live in South Texas so it's cool so many things are cheaper down town but you also have to be careful they sell alot of fakes but it's so cool when you find the awesome clothes vendors Loved this video Oh and since iam white and my hubby is Hispanic it really makes a difference if he's with me it's so true but iam all for supporting our local stores ❤😊 Xxx loves yall

Keep the carousel horse 🎠 in its original state! The paint has history and character just like the old movie theater you visited. Maybe just a clear matte coat of paint so it doesn’t chip paint everywhere and seal it up? Great find chica!

It's so funny you said that about ghost hunting in that theater. I had shown the clip behind the Christmas tree to my son and he said "Looks haunted. Are they ghost hunting?" Lol! You should do that. It would make for a creepy Halloween video!

Make sure the horse really are authentic..if it's a remake just paint it..if it's authentic then painting it can lower the value. So beautiful 🎠

Would absolutely cop that spidey button up. Great with jorts & sneakers. Oof yeah latino vendors are a hit or miss when it comes to how accepting they are with americanized chicanos/latinos. Some love to help you along while others turn a stank nose. Asi es la gente, lo importante es que quieres aprender y mejorar. Ademas, ellos pierden el dinero con ese actitud.

Noooo but I did think that one was pretty cool! The one I wanted was a silver metal plate with a heart cutout. I wanted to show it off but her store was tiny and cramped so I felt uncomfy filming. I personally dont wear bracelets so couldn't justify it...maybe for earrings or a necklace but not for a bracelet. ya know what I mean?

I don´t think it was expensive compared to new clothes sold on other places or even other thrift stores. And about why they upcharge you, whith the gentrification we are living on America Latina I see why, you may identify as latinx but you also have more privilege than the people living there. I also feel that those kind of markets are always a bit pricer because they have to pay rent and other expenses and at the same time they don´t have too many coustumers, and also the quality most of the time is way better than fast fashion.
