I lived there for 2 years. My honey hole was the Goodwill in Summerville. I bought some of my best ever finds there. Try that GW and there is an antique store across the street a little way down the road. Also, Goode Creek has a good GW and a great Antique Mall

The wheelbarrow was used for nuts in shells. The center with holes was for holding the nutcracker and picks. My mom had one years ago

Well, what a surprise. I live in Charleston and regularly visit the places you showed. There are SOOO MANY MORE to discover, and come across new places all the time. And you are 100% correct. If you want the good finds, you have to frequent these places at least a couple times a week. Will say hi if I run into you thrifting out in the wild here in Charleston.

I plan to visit Charleston this summer as it’s less than 3 hours away from me. Weekend trip 😊. The bowl from India seems stainless steel. “Indian silver” is typically sterling silver (92% purity, higher is too soft to work with). That silver urn with oxidized neck is beautiful for that price!!!

I had bought a pair of watercolor prints very reminiscent of Charleston when I visited a few yrs ago. Sadly gave them away when I moved down south from Midwest. Had to cut down stuff as I already had enough to fill that 53 ft truck lol

Wow. I’m about an 1 1/2 hours from you. If you are ever in my neck of World in the Lowcountry of SC we have great thrift shops as well. Hilton Head Island/Bluffton plus Savannah Ga area. There is a little magazine called Treasures that all the thrift stores advertise in. We map out our day and thrift.
