I have been watching thrift videos myself due to lockdown and I must say I do have my favourite, i have just stumbled on you channel and you are so right some thrifters do do that. Your tips are very useful and which and as a rule I do when I am in our charity shops here in London UK, which are still shut due toCOV19.

I agree! If you go in a thrift store looking for things that are current, you will be disappointed most of the time. You have to see how the older things that are available can be made to look current. For me, that’s the fun of thrifting!

Our Goodwill and Salvation Army stores don’t accept outdoor lighting because they can’t test them, so Habitat Restore is the only thrift store where I can find them. (And, I don’t care if they work!)😜

You have certainly found some great items over the years! With employees checking the internet for prices, it is getting harder to find those amazing deals-McCoy for $5! I always keep an eye out for original oil paintings but have only found a few smaller ones (excluding some that were painted by beginners!).

I have not seen the Goodwill dumpsters, but I will certainly keep an eye out. I do find many things that people put out on the curb-I have scored some great furniture this way! Farmhouse is slowly working its way in such that not everybody loves farmhouse. But the green is actually a far better almost neutral green. Honestly... i'm just trying to get past how everybody wants to put a sign up for every room and tell us what they're doing. Eat. Wash. Stuff. (That was a cute sign) . Gather. While you're in the house of course you are gathering. I understand the concept but yikes. I'm waiting for a sign that you hang over your toilet that says 'poop'. But I digress. Sorry about that... True Tale-- I was in HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago looking at all the handwritten items all over the place. And a couple was in there with their cutie-pie daughter in a stroller...And she was gurgling away having a wonderful time. And I looked at the parents and I said 'when you get ready to teach your daughter how to read, just bring her into a Home Goods store and you can read all the signs all over everything.' And mother said "you know what, you're right. And it's a terrifying thought, isn't it?" And we all groaned & laughed.

@@gailremp8389 Oh the signs! I have actually seen a bathroom sign that said, “Take a seat.” I’m over the signs too but the overall aesthetic is still popular in my area.
