@@oldcuriosityshop265 I am assuming this is in reference to the conversation about the Hobbs & Brockuneir hobnail piece? That was a 'leave it on the shelf' item for me. As you said, it's not re-selling for much and it's also not very desirable considering how many have NOT sold on eBay. Your instincts were spot on with that one...

The hobnail bowl, with the yellow/amber rim, at 5:30, sure looked like a 19th century Hobbs Brockunier bowl. Some of that can be quite pricey. Always wanted a water set in that...they're really pricey, though. I used to have quite the collection of the figural/animated United clocks. I had two different fireplace models.

Scott, You had me at, "Oh you're a pretty one, you might be coming home with me" whilst talking to that gorgeous EAPG vase... in the romantic atmosphere... of the darkened thrift store... All kidding aside, you found some great items! I'm glad that you rescued the damaged Art Deco piece, I would have as well. Did you indeed take home the EAPG vase, you didn't show it in the car haul? BTW: My Großtante (great aunt) Freida was not a fan of 'back talk', she was a sweet but humorless woman. However, you can back talk or talk back to us all day long, we don't mind! Thank you for taking us to 'work' with you!

@16:42 I would have looked at the tall slender woman with the light green sash...never saw anything like that before, not sure if it was a vase or figurine...and the lady with the melted dress had creepy dead eyes, so I would have picked that up for $4, I would have took a pic to text to Vinney to see if he wanted it...the clock is cool if you can stop the noise, it sounded like an annoying alarm clock noise, I used to set my clock radio to the annoying sound because hearing music did not wake me up...I think the corn dish was to ladle out melted butter for your corn? or gravy or other sauce for the rest of the meal

What an adventurous day you had in NJ/PA, and you cleaned up! My grandmother would always tell the grandchildren when we went shopping and came home with loot, she would always say, “ You had a Red Letter Day” 😆😆 Scott, Johnson China , was based in East Liverpool Ohio, around 1885-1930’s. Unfortunately they did not survive the Depression. Their designs remind me of Knowles China. They have a great china museum in East Liverpool. Many moons ago when I found out back in my family tree, my DNA has tons of china in it! So That is my excuse for my love affair with China, Pottery and Everything else! Thanks for taking us on that delicious adventure ❤️👏💚

Your Christmas present of sox and gloves will be delivered tomorrow to a man I know who lives on the street so he can help people without homes. I do this through my church which has a box for donations which he passes out when he encounters a need. And he is running into a lot of people who have needs. So Merry Christmas, Scott, and know that others are appreciative of your gift. I was glad you suggested people give to those in need rather than send you gifts.

Ohhh, those Fry custard cups-I'm envious! The coffee ewer will be lovely with a green glass top. Is the lovely dish in the metal holder a pancake server? What do we old dealers have stored in our antique vaults? Marks! Not German currency, but identification marks. It was the key to our survival, finding sleepers, dating, and pricing. Too bad there were as many fake marks as there were real marks. You didn’t want to get burned on a piece of Tiffany. I was the Pottery NUT! At 70, I am still looking for the NC ‘sleeper’, Newcomb College. Throw in a TECO flying buttresses vase for good measure. That Roseville ink stamp was a good spy, old timer. If your Tom & Hen Turkey transfer had been on a Johnson Bros. marked and differently shaped platter, it might have been valued at hundreds $$$. Try getting that though. Your transfer has better colors. I’ll stop rambling. Why, you just had a ‘Pickin’ & Grinnin’ day!
