@@Adri_and_orca hounds are very easily distracted. Once they’ve caught wind of a fox they’ll immediately chase after it. This how so many of these hunts get away with killing foxes without being prosecuted. They use a loophole within the system in which they pretend like it was an “accident” when in reality the hunt knew full well what they were doing. The only way to get rid of these loopholes is to ban all these sports outright. This is also how almost all hunts inevitably end up on privately owned land. They follow the hounds onto other people’s properties and naturally the hounds harass and sometimes kill livestock or pets. But of course the hunt don’t care anymore about people’s pets and livestock then they do the foxes they want to rip apart for giggles.

Everyone’s trying to say they’re not hating on this, I’ll come straight out, I’m hating on this. It isn’t safe for the horses, it’s cruel for the foxes. The foxes are living in their land and forests, not even in populated areas. People are jumping wires without protection boots and constantly hitting their horses because they won’t jump dangerous ditches. It’s not safe, and the stats of injuries agree with me. Certain riders are extremely rude and treat their horses as machines. It’s a outdated sport. Culture doesn’t equal cruelty free.

What a great ride out for you, I loved every second of this clip. It’s brought back so many memories of my childhood out with the hounds and qualifying the horses for racing. I was born and raised in the countryside within a farm setting throughout my whole childhood, it taught me to love and appreciate all animals of this world, including the wildlife. I’ve had many a discussion with ill educated people about the cruelty of ‘Drag Hunting’...... Your video will help those who don’t know what Drag Hunting/Hedge Jumping is. Basically it means the hounds follow a human who ‘Drags’ a scent line along the ground for us to follow.... NO FOXES OR ANY ANIMALS ARE HUNTED!!!! Ps. It’s a rule whilst riding out with the hounds that the master is never overtaken by any rider, the grumpy man in hunting pinks (red coat) probably didn’t want to be shown up because his horse refused. Sir, if you read this I apologise, good evening sir.

Why is it that people think that the harder they hit ("pet") the horse, the more it feels appreciated? Their skin is so delicate. It does not make pleasure to be "pet" that way. Also, hitting a horse with the stick (I don't know the english term) was so rude. People, you need to work with your horses, not torture them. So many good riders, and yet some bastards. Congrats to all that got back to the saddle after a fall. I am always shaing after that!

Hey there let’s count all the people who say this is abuse ! Thanks you for your input but it won’t be needed today. I understand you might think this is “abuse” and what not but really if you looked into it and if you did some research, fun fact it’s actually not that bad. Mind. Blown. These horses get more care than you could give your children and this is what these horses absolutely love to do. There is hardly ever any foxes actually killed on these hunts because it’s mostly done just to jump a few drains and have some fun with your horses. Yes of course I understand there has been times when horses have gotten injured on these hunts, maybe minor injuries, maybe fatal. And that goes the same for the riders. But people look upon it as “they don’t care if their horse gets hurt”. We do care. So so much. As I said, hunters do love their horses. As do showjumpers. Horses also can get fatally injured in showjumping and riders are left devastated. Hunting is the same thing really just a bit more rough and tough, but these horses are built for this as showjumpers are built for showjumping. Injuries do happen I understand, to both horse and rider, but that’s a risk we take and everybody who has no idea what real hunting is can sit here and comment about how it’s abuse. I mean ya sure whatever you think yourself doll

Clodagh Marie so why do they use horses as weapons to block monitors and push people out the way to block the view? Think and do more readership yes they may love their horses and this is one person who does you can see I’m these vids too that the horses get hard blows if they don’t do something or spook be more realistic people

Clodagh Marie I don’t say it is abuse but some jumps are realy stupit to begin with. I mean that it is dangereuses and can go bet. I don’t say this kind of sports is bet but it can be more safety if plan carefully. Chacking the gound and the route and the jumps. That way it is fun but also safetly. Because no whan want to go from realy fun to going to the pain of seeing your animal in alot of pain or your self. I’m saying do this and have a great time but do it safely. ( sorry for the bet englisch I have dyslexie)

You said it loud and clear for all to hear 😋now I hope the haters were reading because if not! I'll print this off and send it to your frount door! The haters need to officially back of because like him and me a lot of other people know that its NOT abuse!! Haters sit down now and say sorry for what you said! Every horse that is hunting a non animal sent (for this instants) loves what they do and wont stop. Yes they do get hurt but this is what they were breed to do and this is what the riders themselves want to do! A few jumps might be a bit dangerous but just like showjumping risk taking is the way of victory! Only last week did a French hores get injured whilst doing SHOWJUMPING! Now I've made my point I hope the haters now understand that a dangerous fall could just be around the corner for everyone and not just for hunters!!!!! 😎👏🏻Bye

I love how u encourage your horse and tell her good girl & treat her with respect but some riders weren’t that nice and as good to their horses. Even though I don’t agree with this sport I do love the way u respect ur horse and have fun.

Fantastic, used to hunt back in the good old days but not since the ban, going to dig out the hunting coat and make a few enquiries about a hireling.

She's very kind to her horses and they seem to have done it a few times before I'd say because most of them weren't that spooky or hesitant and I've got no problem with people jumping or anything but if I had my own horse I'd check all of the course and if my horse didn't trust it, we wouldn't go over it. Some of them seemed very dangerous, any horse could've hurt themselves at any moment. There could've been tons of things that could go wrong. This isn't abuse to the horses btw guys because I've been scrolling through comments and people have been saying it's abuse to the horse but it's not abuse. It could hurt them but it's no abuse. Anyway, the horse she was riding was perfectly fine with it as you could see, her ears were pricked and she was concentrating. My only problem is that horses and even rider could get hurt. No hate please x feel free to state your opinion by replying to me! I don't think that I'm amazing at riding even though I've been riding for years so if you'd like to add anything on or try to correct me then feel free to do so!

I couldn’t stop laughing through this! You are insane! I give so much props to fox hunters because those jumps scare the shit out of me and the hunts are so long. You and your horse have to be in shape for these. I could never...

Ooh. It made me cringe when the horses got hit with the fence. I know that had to hurt! you seem to have an amazing attitude about everything and seem to be a great rider! Great video!

Im just wondering why do you do hunting in winter when its muddy and slippy? I get that maybe the grounds too hard in the summer but im just curious

I don't hunt myself. But I understand it. It keeps the fox population down and keeps the dogs, horses and riders fit. Im very happy that you are kind to your horse :)
