Love the OBS! I’m conflicted on the wrap because on the one hand, I love Nardo Grey, but on the other hand I love the mid-90s GM green. Y’all should absolutely build a SBC for it and restore the interior. Maybe even beef it up with a chase rack and bumpers. Some of us love 4x4 content along with our car content.

I just finished shooting the base coats white and next I'm doing pearl in the first coats of clear and then finish with additional coats of clear. The pearl I'm adding is violet, blue, green, brass, and titanium white which with a lot of mixing combos finally got the amounts off each color dialed in for a really cool pearl coat that should really look incredible. After that i would of think it was a bad idea putting all that money to that employee truck since he can even keep up with the most essential thing in the motor.

It probably leaks and burns oil. I cannot wait to rebuild my 2000 silverado for this purpose alone, but 250K and no issues besides it leaking

Ya'lls have no clue about these trucks right? The motor will burn oil after about 100k KM(I'm Canadian). If its not burning it cause of the piston rings are designed funny its leaking it cause the trucks keep on running. Its an old truck that he might of been letting die cause its sometimes not worth putting more money into something you don't care about. I can tell you for a fact that GMs V8s are a solid choice for an engine and the only issues they come with is oil burning issues and the typical engine seal leak due to age. I say that as a Ford guy who loves the 5.0L V8

@@Crunchymunchys so continuing to put oil into your truck to keep it on the road isn’t worth it that’s funny 😆 remember that’s an American 🇺🇸5.3 as well as your beloved 5.0

I am giving up on the old engine and we've ordered a ls1. The bastards leak ans burn oil like its going out of style. When you keep 2 gal of oil in your truck at all times then you got a problem.

Got a $5,000 bonus last week and finally going to rebuild my white 97 obs k1500. Got it 2 years ago with only 100k miles on original motor. Surprisingly clean with no dents and very few scratches. No rust. Came with mickey Thompson wheels and 33's. Somehow I got lucky when I found it for a good price. Im taking the crappy rough country lift off caused its caused some front end issues and coming very soon will be 6" BDS lift kit with fox shocks, traction bars, and steering stabilizer kit with 35x12.50 toyo m/t's on my 17" mickey thompsons. Custom front bumper that I'll fabricate and weld myself to accommodate a winch. Led lights all the way around and probably on board air system or co² tank plus much more. My fiance wanted me to sell my truck but I refuse to go buy some 50k dollar truck.. so I've been buying and stacking parts getting ready for the rebuild. Wish me luck

OBS and squarebody Chevy trucks are the coolest trucks when they get some modern upgrades and a little TLC. This is amazing. Currently replacing a blown 400sbc with a 383 stroker in my 79 k20. Too cool man. Might try to mimic some of what you guys did.

The whole frame is twisted. That’s likely why the door was sagging so much. Check the bed to cab alignment, the body lines don’t flow at all, it’s racked to the right.

Fr lol. And I wouldn’t even call that maintenance. Should have flushed that cooling system completely judging by the muddy water that came out of the truck instead of putting new coolant in a dirty system. And as for the oil, probably shoulda ran an engine flush through it.
