I find the style that you work in and the peices you produce are simply great. They. Celebrate wood and joinery instead of hiding it.

I’ve seen more tips and tricks through this series than I can remember … one that was a real head smacker, as in “why didn’t I think of that?” was adding a temporary fence to your cross cut sled when you need a stop block for material that’s longer than your sled. Duh! I’ve been considering some kind of complicated sliding angle iron / t-track set up with a flip stop - The simple solution is faster and probably more accurate! Spend more woodshop time on projects rather than jigs! Thanks for sharing your skills. I’m enjoying watching the build.

Mike Pekovich is to woodworking as Keanu Reeves is to the movie industry. Everyone wants a piece of him.

This is advanced stuff, both in skills and equipment required. Mike is an accomplished machine woodworker. An equally advanced hand-tool woodworker could produce equal or better quality in the same or less time without the sleds and jigs.

Hi there. That's interesting and I wonder if you could elaborate on how a person can achieve an outside tight fit for those mortices? Thanks.

You should take one of his classes in person you will find Mike Pekovich does a fine balance of machine and hand tools. You will learn how hand tools complement machine tools and visa versa.
