I have a natural tendency to gravitate to the Old Testament. Maybe because the stories are so interesting. This study of Ezekiel is good. I also like Kings and Chronicles. These books give insight into how God sometimes operates.

I love the prophets but man how scary this is as it sounds like society today and how judgement hit. May God have mercy on this generation.

I had to listen to this sermon because a podcast I listen to mentioned Ezekiel 23:20. It was a discussion about the transgender movement and the extreme direction public school are allowing in regards to reading material. Someone brought up about the types of stuff found in the Bible. The main conclusion was that it should be up to parents to decide when their kids are exposed to such topics and schools should focus on read, writing, arithmetic type topics. Anyway I’m a Christian and had never paid attention to that passage so my first order of business was to see if it said what it did, then 2, was to jump right over to Pastor Brett’s sermon series to help me understand why this passage was in the Bible. I wonder how many other people turned to the Bible to check because of the non-Christian podcast. Interesting and illuminating as usual and much appreciated.

Pastor Brett, I hear you and I do see the parallel. And, I know exactly what you mean about believers not believing the whole Bible. Recently, I have seen posts on FB where people believe Jesus says homosexuality is not a sin.

Shouldn’t be a surprise that the Bible clearly explain what the darkest of sin is God’s word is not sugar coded everything that Ezekiel 23 said is so true about America so much corruption of sexual sin, social media, etc I would be trembling to think what judgement will come to the good old US of A.
